Most of us men love porn. So, why not try and make a buissiness out of it? Its a win win situation. Especialy if you get to be in it.. (like in that amateurallure, noone knowing its you).

Are there any taxes related to this type of buissines, and if yes, which ones?

Taxes. Yes. You are sent payments via credit card billing companies. They require you to fill out a W-9 tax form so they can report your earnings to the IRS. It's best to start an LLC and get a good accountant (and attorney if you plan on creating your own content).

I've recently switched to the promotion of websites instead of creating my own content. I feel it's safer and just as profitable if done correctly.

Cheers!

I have a few questions that shouldnt take ages to explain...

1. What kind of investment capital do you need for a succesful start? I am talking about investment money you should have to pay hosting fees and fund a successful ad campaign.

2. What kind of fees are there associated with running a porn site? I mean like how much you pay in hosting, credit card processor fees, etc. per month. I am referring to variable costs here (which I assume change based on traffic).

If you could let us know also whats the fixed cost of running a site, if any, that'd be great too.

3. Whats your gross margin on say a $29 membership? (which seems to be what that site you posted is charging)
1. You wouldn't need a dime. Just sign up to promote websites. I like seriousgold.com and FTVcash.com. They give you promotional materials you can spam places with. You will need to know some HTML in order to do this.

2. fees - LLC, attorney, models, camera, photographer, advertising in newspaper, hosting - $100/yr (for small site), ccbill.com (I think I paid like $800 for the first year) - there are free places, but they usually suck. It cost me about $12k for the camera, LLC, site design (had partner do it), photographer, ccbill visa startup cost, models and other misc. costs. This doesn't even include the blood, sweat and tears put into it.

3. Gross margin? Bro, it depends on how much $$ you put into it and how many people sign up. It depends on the site. The site I put up probably cost about 30k to design. It also pays Kristina a salary (not sure how much) - So, if you get 2000 people to sign up in a month you're doing mighty good, eh?

Eric could you give us some statistics on how many people sign up each month, how often then return and what kind of consumer he is?

Im just interested because with the amounts of free porn and porn from torrents or P2P I personally would never even consider paying for it(If I was interested in it).

Sales ratios vary based on the type of site and cost to sign up. You can expect sales ratios anywhere from 1:100 hits to 1:1000 hits as long as the people know they're going to a porn site and you're not misleading them into thinking they're clicking on some other type of website.

So, the more traffic you get to your website, the more sales you get. To get traffic you need word of mouth, spam, friends with other websites and advertising (get on Howard Stern) :cheer:
