This forum is begining to make me quite sick.

I really believe most of you are keyboard jocks spinning tall tails - with very little to give except opinion based on a concept you don't even understand.

Quite frankly, Both these people have made more money than the lot fo you put together. They are more successful - and from what I see, live their life the way they want - doing what they want.

Most of you work for the man - live life like good little boys - with little to do except post thousands of forum responses.

To be honest this is a coupling that makes sense. Both parties have very successfully exploited an extreme representation of their gender roles for millions by entertaining others. You can get killed by either activity, through mischance in an MMA fight or HIV in the porn industry. They are like watered-down protagonists of the movie Gamer. I'm sure can they relate to each other's experiences quite well -- maybe they don't even judge each other for it. An all-american couple? In some ways. It doesn't make sense to hate on them. They are people just like you.

Next: It's hard not to feel the scarcity thing if you're active-duty military, it can make you tolerate more than you logically should. It also takes a completely different skillset and mentality for dealing with women. A unit's success is determined by how well it cooperates together. Dating and relationships are closer to adversarial. You don't have to be tough or brave to deal with women well. You need to be socially acute, self-assured, and capable of hurting the other party more than they can hurt you. Not saying you SHOULD hurt the other, but if you are not capable of this you are in the other's power -- Machiavelli would not approve!

So why do guys who can face down death have a hard time with this? Think of the difference between Survivor and Survivorman. The same people won't excel in either situation due partly to experience, but also because people accumulate certain experiences because they live by a philosophy or set of values which makes adaptation unnatural. Regarding your buddy, Buk -- its probably just a part of his life he hasn't paid much attention to, or doesn't want to intellectually accept. Military guys can make decent money, great job security, and aren't around to keep an eye on what wifey or the GF is doing. It can attract some girls who realize that, which is not always a good thing.

One caveat: being tough, brave, and capable is the *BEST* thing if you and a girl both find yourself in a tight spot and she needs a hero, now. However we usually live in the affluent world where women are pampered and bored, so they need diversion (bad boy to the rescue? yup), or they're a little broke and need a decent guy so they can eat well and have a decent standard of living if they want to move out of their parents basement.

Do you honestly think Jenna or Ortiz gives a sh!t about how YOU think they should be running their lives? If I were Ortiz and I hear some keyboard pros talking about how I should act and how I should be, I'd slit my wrist using the sharp edges of my American Express Black Card. Or...OR If I wanted to continue living after realizing that I'm dealing with haters who would only wish to see me fail, I would then put pressure on my wounds with hundred dollar bills and ask my personal doctor to make a house call.

I think the ones with the biggest mouths on this topic should sincerely reach out and send an email or phone call to Ortiz. He's obviously lost and in need of a mentor - preferably ones who talk sh!t on a computer all day with no real credibility. Dude, no one is perfect. Not one person here (maybe with the exception of Rollo) has their house in order. Everyone here has a flaw (several) and it seems like a "crab in a bucket" mentality. What would you have either of them do? Do they not deserve what they made? They went through a lot of sh!t to get it. I ask again, who here is better off than either of those two, enough where they can be a mentor to both?

Why stay so busy shaming someone when you have your own life to deal with? Sure it may not be what most people want, but they aren't most people and they aren't looking for a way out of what they've gotten themselves into.

As I said, this thread doesn't help anyone. It's just gossip. I think more energy would be better....

No one's shaming Jenna for her business success, or Ortiz for his fighting ability. Jenna is being shamed for prostituting herself, and Ortiz for making an extremely bad choice. You need only to look to Jenna's history of affairs, golddigging, and drug abuse to know that she is unfit to be a mother.

It seems to be a popular liberal notion that EVERYONE should be able to have children, and that we should not judge the merits and failings of others' belief systems, but the children end up suffering in the long run when raised in dysfunctional environments. The Western notion that "romantic love conquers all" is often used as a premise to justify the most impulsive, ill conceived relationship decisions, with little regard given to the serious problems that are sure to arise down the road.

I don't think that anyone can argue that the porn industry is a wholesome, respectable business, and lauding Jameson for making a tidy profit on it is like celebrating a prostitute for learning to exploit others as a madam.

Really, the whole thing is an interesting case study of how a supremely alpha guy like Ortiz, who no doubt could take his pick of younger, more respectable, less-often-penetrated women, is still not immune from making AFC choices. Women aren't always the irrational ones..

However, when does it change from observing and avoiding bad choices that other people make, to judging and reveling in another person's misery?
