How would I go about finding a list of all the pron sites? Or as many as I can find.

I'm basically fed up with it and would like to put as many as I can on a block list. I got Net Nanny and CyberSitter in hopes of getting the lists off them, but no luck (I cannot copy them, only view) and those programs are resource hogs.

Anyone know of any list sites? Or where I could get a list of such a thing?

Most pornography storage is hosted by a company called XXX Storage. I would say they probably store 75% of the pornography on the Internet. A friend of mine in Oklahoma used to be drinking buddies with the owner.

Find the IP ranges XXX storage owns, and block them.

Why is it such a huge issue? I use my computer virtually every day and have little to no bothers with porn sites... what sort of internet sites are you visiting that push these onto your screen?

I tried putting a filter for my own displeasure but some how my desires always urged me to hack it or find a way around it.

Years ago I gave up on filters and I learned I can't depend on them to protect me. Its a sad reality we live in with internet so easily accessible. I think from all these years, accountability is the best route.

Only one internet computer in the house, or goin to library or campus for internet usage. One computer in an open large family room, opened windows.

actually, they were bought out by NationalNet, a bigger general purpose hosting firm. at one point they had datacenters in San Jose, Dallas, Tulsa, and Sherman (which is also in Tx).

the 75% figure is definitely a bit high (2nd hand information from the buddy of mine) but i would say they are or used to be one of the bigger players. their smallest customer ran about 50tb of bandwidth useage a month.

I had my buddy Clay tell Jeff (the owner) about the server we bought for work, a Sun Ultra Enterprise 4000, with a pricetag of $45,000. Jeff said his Sun units ran around $95K a pop.

I haven't stroken it since december. Mostly because I'm either working, or busy, or working out or socializing.

When I get to bed I just fall asleep to get some rest for the day after.

So, without sounding negative: "getting a life" worked for me. Or getting busy.
