On subject, it's basicaly horse**** to make people limit that kind of things. In that case, a "clean" person can be very creepy etc. Besides, we're not in the fifties when "new looks" equaled diabolical, we know better.

T!tboy, it looks like you're not interested in opinions. You just want people to support your whining. I've noticed nearly all your posts are basically whines about the evils of society, the evils of women, etc etc.

It's part of the trend towards a gender-neutral society, or gender-neutral workplace.

For the better part of my career as an art director for 3 major casinos I was never allowed to wear a beard. Interestingly enough, they all allowed mustaches (which I've never had TYVM). In my last job before the one I have now the casino was very strict in it's no beard policy and even the hint of stubble could get you a warning. I would always wear a chinstrap beard (and do now that I'm done with casinos) on vacation, but promptly shaved it off before I went back.

I think it's more a job conformity standard than any kind of social control. Think of it this way, if you see a guy with facial hair wouldn't that indicate that he's in control of that aspect of his own choices? Meaning he either works for himself or is in a career position that is important enough to be relaxed in this regard.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Personally, any guy who needs a beard to convince himself that he's a "man", isn't a real man.

Its like those weenies who buy giant Hummers. Driving a big car doesn't make one a man, neither does wearing a beard.

I guess t!tboy is one of those Hummer driving dudes.

Hey hey tit man is a legend. Don't hate on the dude. I guess a beard delievers somewhat of a dirty look, same deal with employees with zits and s#it like that. It just delievers the clean cut look.

Irrelevant, has nothing to do with the topic at hand. What did I tell you about using extremes to make a non point? The option to have one was the query, dont be baiting for a qualification douche.

Oh yeah and hows that real opinion going?

Can you even grow a beard? You do that much woman like whining and moaning, I would of thought all your testosterone had been replaced by estrogen.

You're trying to find answers that arn't there. You can't have a full grown, uncared for beard, because they do look scruffy (yeah, I know you've been told that) but that is the reason. It's no good getting your panties in a bunch and shouting "I refuse to accept that! I demand more answers as to this inequality!!", because the answers simply arn't there.

In any case, have you actually checked "most workplaces?", because to the best of my knowledge a beard is perfectly acceptable if neatly trimmed.

And to be honest, it's no good citing "well women can do this...", because first, it's a trite childs arguement and second, well the only comparison I can make is this :

If a woman grew her hair, and refused to put a comb through it, or wash it, she would be in the same position as a man with a fulll, unkempt beard.

Honestly, is it really that important to have a beard? I've always thought men with beards look slightly tosser-ish anyway.

Talk about dumbarse generalizations....this fool takes the cake. Let me guess, you've never even been to Alabama?

Channel your excited feelings into positive thoughts and behaviors. You will attract women by being enthusiastic, radiating energy, and becoming someone who is fun to be around.

No, but I went to college there. It's real easy to say sh1t like that when you don't have to back it up, and when you do, I'll bet he'll use some TV reference or something he's heard from a Northern liberal news reporter.

Back on topic, I haven't really noticed the trend toward anti-beards. Actually I don't know how my company reacts toward it. I prefer short hair and a clean shave, so I wouldn't know. It's all a trend toward equality. It's just another socialistic way to try and find LBJ's "Great Society" which is a bunch of horse sh1t. Geez I hate liberals, nevermind don't get me started.....

If it doesn't apply to you, than HE WASN'T TALKING ABOUT YOU. But judging by this post, you ARE one of those guys he was talking about.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

It wouldn't be so easy to do if he wasn't constantly calling anybody a female who doesn't agree with him. For someone that's only been here a couple months you have yet to see the best. That kind of behavior is nothing short of a legend, let me tell you.

It's the only way anybody can get a point across to you, seeing as you already decided what the right and wrong answers were before anybody responded. You use this comeback too much anyways.

1 bad post wasnt enough to prove you enjoy mimicking female behaviour mate, but dont push it. Sure call me out as neccesary if and when I'm wrong but dont go all b!tchy all the time.

Not so much as the fact that I hadn't been on the site since April and just noticed the negative one you left 3 months ago this morning, and wondering what it meant went to a vBulletin website to see how it worked. I do understand it is months after the actual conversation took place but I had some catching up to do. I don't hold grudges.

Well I could only use past experiences as a reference, and being flamed for ASKING people's opinion of a campus speaker who was giving out semi-AFC advice, not saying "hey I agree with this guy" was not exactly grounds for having 'feminine' tendencies. If this whole reputation feature even means anything, then I see it hilarious that somebody like Dr. Beard is "on a distinguished road" while I am an "unknown quantity" for actually giving out pretty good advice if you have read my other posts (not trying to brag or anything). But if my "credibility" all comes down to that one negative rep then it could mean bad news for some newbies. I only say this because there are some people treating Dr. Beard like the messiah.

And this basically comes down to a case of the pot calling the kettle black. You can't say everybody else is being bítchy and then do the exact same thing but claim you're not. Everybody on this site is guilty of it at one point or another, I just noticed you tend to accuse of it more than others.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
