I'd appreciate as much participation as possible as I'm currently researching the relationship beteen a man's environment (house, apartment or room) and certain aspects of his personality.

I'll expound on it later once all the data is in. I don't want to sway the results by saying too much while the poll is active.

Thanks for weighing in. Results are anonymous. There is absolutely no need to make a post. Just vote if you don't mind. Thanks.

I think I know where you're going with this, akin to the 'the state of your environment is a reflection of your personality and your degree of mental organization'. If so, it's a fool's errand. I don't think the two are related. My place is immaculate as you say, but not by my own doing. A few months ago I finally hired a cleaning lady. I just got tired of doing it myself. It's not something a man does. Neither is cooking (I almost never cook).

I can't stand a mess, but that doesn't mean I'm going to clean it myself, especially when a professional can do it quicker, better, and cheaper than myself, freeing up my time to pursue things I actually care about.

Your speculation is only a small fraction of what I'm researching. There's a lot more to it than that, which I'll discuss later.

Is there any reason why you have brought this up now???

Is there a kinda seasonal evolutionary angle to this????

Reason why I ask is that Ive become a bit itchy about my living scene of late, and finally my younger sister arrived tonight to help out. Ive chucked out alot of random stuff/old stuff i'll neve use, old DVDS and the like - have improved the ba area (free standing bar i bought off e bay - quite a winner with the girlz ;)

Im going modern in my tastes again. Have a had a period of buying/acquiring antiques mainly of medieval style circa 1350 - 1650AD

One has to keep the style flowing........

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I'm back with the parents until I can save up and do my thing. Economy is pretty bad and unemployed ATM. But, we've always been pretty clean. I keep my room clean, the house is always clean, and I do my share of yard work. I don't like a dirty house. I spend most of my time at my girl's place anyway, and she's the same way.

I find that when my flat is a mess I kind of get depressed. As soon as I clean it up I cheer up a bit.

If things get hectic i'll let it go for a week or so, then clean up. I'm the kind of guy that wont make his bed but i'll kinda fix it making sure the pillows are on top and the covers reasonably flat and ready for the next time I lay to sleep. I'll let my dishes sit for a week tops. My bathroom gets serviced when it either smells or just starts to gross me out.

This all changes if I am having a really hot girl over I really want to hook up with. I'll clean the whole house for that. Might even break the mop out!

I live in a 1 bed apartment.

I would describe it as cluttered, grubby but very comfortable.
Bedding changed weekly....keep on top of the kitchen and bathroom and that's it.

Most of the birds that have been there love it. All say it suits me and are happy to be there

I'm remodeling my whole house, so there's tools and clothes and all kinds of sh*t scattered around the entire house.

But it's IMMACULATE when I'm not remodeling.
