I think someone needs some anti depression meds...

On a serious note: the point of life is obeying your instincts.

Sounds good on paper but when the world is full of enemies that want to exterminate (KILL) you, the point of life becomes the preservation of life. That means making sure you have a lot of great big, expensive, bad-ass guns and are willing to use them. I'm speaking of nations here.

We could and should all do more to feed the poor, but to take all our defense funds and feed the poor with them pretty much guarantees that we won't be around next year to feed them.

I am just saying.... what do we do? Work... try to bang a few girls for cheap thrills... maybe get married and deal with nagging wife and kids... before you know it your bones ache, your dvck don't get hard... and you are old and ready to die

for what exactly?

"Well, all I'm saying is that I want to look back and say that I did I the best I could while I was stuck in this place. Had as much fun as I could while I was stuck in this place. Played as hard as I could while I was stuck in this place... Dogged as many girls as I could while I was stuck in this place. "

For me, it's simple.

To share my faith with those who are interested, and to be gracious and non-offensive to those who are not.

Secondly, to try to leave the world a little bit of a better place for my having been here.

That's for you to decide. Everyone has their own purpose and meaning to live.

I don't.... I just live cause I live... I eat, work, and basically just float through life. There really is no point that I can see

I have been frustrated on many occasions by the way I've chosen to live my life according to faith and principles. Going off the beaten path and trying to see others as important as myself has put me at a disadvantage at times. But one thing I will never suffer from is a lack of meaning. I just got a regular old office assistant job and I'm super thrilled about it. I find an abundance of meaning in taking pride in my work, accumulating good karma, romance, subversive art work, etc. And when I hear about the nihilstic views of others I'm glad to have this, what others might call naivete.

The point I'm trying to make here is that, often there are those who have all the material success, but end up not seeing any point in it. For example my brother is a successful doctor but he is afraid of death and appears to have no underlying belief system other than materialism. And then there are those who find meaning in life but struggle to be successful. It's funny how it works out like that.
