Places to meet people

Greetings, I am currently doing the Boot Camp (week one), and I am trying to think of places other than the mall to meet people. Not girls, merely lots of people to make eye contact/say hi/start convos. This means that the usual pick-up places like book stores where I cannot go around for an hour or two constantly seeing new people are a bad idea. Also, places with a high density of people would be appreciated (getting 50 people to respond is a time-consuming task).

Good point

Very true. However, I'm young and I've switched schools a lot, so I don't know where it is that people go. That, in fact, is my question: where DO people go?

How young is young? If you're like 16 or so, try movie theaters, bowling alleys, local little resturant hangouts.... seriously, just watch a teen sit-com and go where they go.

Ask people you go to school with. Even better, once you do that, try and go with them. New friends, learned some hangouts, its all good.

Ace: Thanks for your replies, its good advice, especially for later on in the boot-camp, in fact, I'm saving it.

However, I just want places (other than the mall) where I can get to easily (and preferably freely) and will have lots of random people, young, old, whatever so that I can walk for hours doing the exercises and not see the same face twice (ok, not literally, but almost), and yet will see many faces over a short period of walking (high people density) so that I can pick my targets and get through the exercises quickly.

Are you blind? I'm giving you places. lol.

Try a popular park. People go there to jog, to chill, to feed the birds, to throw birthday parties, to swim, to play frisbee, to walk dogs, to go on picnics.... you get it. Just don't hang around at night, you'll be a stalker.

Thanks Ace, the park is perfect. Sorry if I was rude about your other suggestions, I just needed places with more people/ability to walk around. I also thought of one: museums. Between parks, museums, and malls I should be able to get through the non-girl/"quantity over quality" part of bootcamp (those fifty hi's can take awhile). However, if anyone thinks of anything else I'd be happy to add variety to the next two/three weeks. Thanks again for the help Ace.

Thats true, often at bus stations and such, people will start convorsations FIRST just because they are bored.
