Picking up girls in Korea

I am a new poster here, and by reputation I hear this website is excellent for discussion.

I recently visited Seoul, Korea to live with my friends who I have known for years over the internet for one month. Basically, we're all rich poker players who have been competitive in the live and online poker scene for three - four years now. They told me to visit and how crazy the night clubbing + girl scene is out here, and being the AFC that I am, I will try anything to get to that shiny bright end of the glory cave. I booked my flight after my most recent poker tournament had ended, and I've been here for two weeks. The first night out they took me to a 'booking club'. Basically, you pay for a big room where a waiter constantly comes in and out of the room giving you a tray of beers, liquid, and fruit plates. The punchline to this clubbing scene is
that the waiters drag girls from the dancefloor + outer club area into your room and sit them down next to you. You feed them drinks, fruit, and begin hitting on them in hopes to get take them home if they like you. They aren't hookers or anything: they're normal girls. In Korea males are a bit more shy so the booking method is designed to eliminate the whole nervousness of approaching a girl. So that being said, I'm asking if anyone here has any experience in the booking club scene here in Seoul. I have spent two weeks here trying effortlessly to pick up a girl, but because I don't speak Korean the conversation goes to sh_it pretty fast. The girls here obviously would prefer a man who speaks Korean, or a white guy, however I don't fit into either category. Weight wise, i'm 6'5'' and 295 lbs, so im a big guy with a noticable yet reasonable sized gut. My buddies here all speak Korean and are white, and they seem to be having great success here with the girls. I have yellow fever pretty bad, and I'm really interested in hitting on some hot chicks and not failing for once. That being said, please discuss fellas.

I have no experience in Seoul Sarging, so I guess this is just a courtesy post for you. You might be hard-pressed to find someone here who has spent time in S. Korea, and no members come to mind.

At what level would you say that you operate? Have you spent the last few years at tables in casinos, or have you been out in the field? I'm just asking because I used to play semi-professionally and know how much time is spent in front of the screen or at the felt. There was a couple years where I didn't date a single chick because I was so busy with school, work, and poker.

I digress! At any rate, you say that you're AFC, but perhaps more clarification would be beneficial. There are tons of AFC's out there that get laid regularly. I used to be one of them.

I could point you towards some articles and/or posters here that I really respect. Look at it this way: It's like poker. You'll just have to make the best decisions based on incomplete information.

The thing is, you're in a foreign country and have the opportunity to test out all sorts of different methods/approaches/tactics. If you want, you can PM me.

He was a popular American pick up artist from the website fastseduction.com He resided in an popular Asian country like you, and he started out pretty green but did tons of approaches and elevated quickly. I don't think he still posts but he might have written specific insight on your situations in his archives or online.

I am Korean.

I frequent Korean clubs in LA, which do the same "booking" thing.

There are Korean clubs in NYC too, but most of them don't do booking unless *maybe* you are good friends with a waiter there.

If you tip your waiter very well, he'll give you better treatment in subsequent visits, and bring your prettier girls (in theory). But yeah, try to develop a good relationship with your waiter.

Some waiters have reputations as good bookers, others have reputations as bad bookers. Sometimes you can find out online who they are.

Booking eliminates the whole approach factor, but you still need to have what it takes to keep the girl at your table. Otherwise she'll leave within minutes, or even seconds.

Me? I'm way too AFC to score right now.

K-Clubs in LA:

Le Cercle - formerly Le Prive. This is the biggest one and the most popular right now. The front parking lot is usually lined with Bentleys and Porsches. Age range varies widely, from early 20s to early 30s I'd say.

Velvet Room - Used to be the most popular when Le Prive was closed for about a year. Younger crowd - early to mid 20s mostly.

Karnak - The oldest one, it's been around for 10+ years IIRC. Older crowd too - mid 20s to mid 30s. They have a live band which is kinda cheesy IMHO, and the sound system kinda sucks. The fake Egyptian decor is kinda tacky too. Yeah, I'm not too fond of this place.

There's like 1 or 2 more IIRC, but those are the biggest ones.

NYC has Circle, which opened this April. Atmosphere is awesome, but it's not a booking club (unless you're friendly with a waiter). Several others like Camel and Nikki, but Circle is the only nice one in NYC IMHO.

The thing with Korean girls is that they roll in wolf packs.

In other words, you'll rarely see a Korean girl by herself or even two Korean girls sitting together.

If you see a Korean girl that's cute...

you'll see her and her entire posse and clubhouse of Korean friends. If you see one, you've seen them all.

It's kind of hard to break into that group if you don't already know somebody in there or you can't speak Korean or aren't Korean.

This is coming from a guy who's half-Korean and half-black by the way.
