This guy has great game. Good looking, keeping it lite and funny. The phone being ridiculous seals the deal. Girl at 2:32 even gives him a big hug and a kiss after. At 7:25, another chic gives him a kiss. Obviously somewhere like San Diego during spring break and girls are receptive to being approached. When he revealed that it was for a YouTube video the girls laughed even more. I’ll put some money down that this guy got some action after all this.

Another example of how women live in the moment. The two girls saw that he was cute and liked his vibe so they kissed him without knowing a single thing about him other than he made them laugh with his ancient phone.

You need massive confidence and very good looks to be able to pull that off. Most men wouldn't be able to do that. In the early 2010s, men who didn't have smartphones would get weird looks from women when trying getting their numbers in real life approaches. By that point, 3-5 years after the first iPhone hit the market, women expected men to have smartphones when asking for their numbers.

Dudes funny and plays a gag a well. Is he suave and seductive? No! but is he fun to be around and confident? Yep. The phone and mention of Youtube defused the chicks and it was all in good fun. I doubt he actually cared about the outcome. That and the girls see the camera man on them and that puts them into a different mindset all together.

too gimmicky
people who believe your phone affects anything also believe what you say affects anything...or the length of your text message affects anything "oh her text was 32 characters mine was 60 characters, too long, that's why she stopped responding"

This is kinda funny I'd think and quite creative way to generate interest.
Using a old 80'te brick cellphone to ask for girls numbers.. ha ha
If I had a old brick like that it could be fun to try it and just see peoples reactions. worst that could happen is that you have a fun day...
I carried the old brick phone until the early 2000s. Today, you can find a bluetooth one on Amazon I believe that pairs with your smartphone and actually works!

Channel your excited feelings into positive thoughts and behaviors. You will attract women by being enthusiastic, radiating energy, and becoming someone who is fun to be around.

That video is not staged. At all.
A large amount of pickup and prank videos online are staged. The fake videos will have perfect audio and girls playing along and smiling even while the cameraman is right up in their face. In the real world girls won't give out their number if they realize they're being filmed. 99 percent of people are wary of strangers, but it helps you're cause if you're good looking. It's also staged in the sense they don't show rejections. For every yes they get dozens of nos and they only post the positive interactions.

I don't know the law in Cali but here in Florida we have anti recording laws and it's illegal to film someone without their consent. The person would have to verbally consent to being filmed.
