Overall, I agree with this. Unfortunately they are becoming fewer and further between as time goes on. The status the quo for average modern woman is deteriorating.

I try to avoid girls who spend too much time on their phones. It's usually a good sign of who's vapid and who isn't.

I usually tell girls right away I deactivated my Facebook account because it wasted so much of my valuable time.

When I was a bit more Alpha my ex followed me and deactivated her account on her own (I didn't tell her to!) and once I got AFC she reactivated. Quite fascinating isn't it?

Hate to say it, but it's getting worse too.
Even women in their thirties are so attached to social media, its ridiculous.

In certain areas, I've become a pariah of sorts.

I've seen women hanging out at bars, posting a picture on Instagram/Facebook of the bar they are at and the drink they are having, and the friend next to them is on their phone "Liking" the very picture.

Is this what we have devolved into?

I'm almost to the point where I'd rather be single and not deal with this than to get involved in an attention war with a female. It's not me against the world when it comes to this, so neither should you. But I see boys, falling in line with this "new normal" and it appalls me. Sorry to sound so "Get off my lawn", but it's disgusting to see how much has changed in the last 5-10 years, not only within the dating scene, but the social scene as a whole.

HA! I go 40s with this too. My GF is 41. The other night she stood in the middle of the bedroom for 30 minutes on her phone texting or FBing or something. STOOD, in the middle of the bedroom. SHe was so entrawled in that damn thing that she couldn't even take 1 second to walk 2 feet to a chair, or 3 feet to the bed. She gets so deep in the phone I really think she leaves the planet. I have got on my phone before while she was texting on hers and pretended like I was talking to another woman and said "Oh I can't wait to see you either honey.. the sex last night was amazing and tomorrow will be even better", and my GF doesn't even hear me. I love f'ing with her about it.

I make my view of social media quite clear on my OKC profile and that that profile is the only social media I use (I have FB that is currently deactivated). I know it puts a bunch of girls off, but probably the ones I want putting off.

Such a horrendous waste of time and incredibly narcissistic (no 'ffence narcissist!). But then it inspires insipid competition - who's next to get married, have a baby, what generic tourist destination am I travelling to, which tasteless w@nky bar will I be seen in next and with who?

I am seriously thinking of letting go of a (really hot) plate because she puts a hashtag between every f*cking word of an instagram post. The fact she is flakey as f*ck doesn't help matters!

Deactivating FB was one of the most liberating things I have ever done.
