You know how sometimes your co-workers / boss don't just fire you, but instead sh*t on you to make you eventually volunteer to quit yourself? Well this is happening to me.

I'm in a company, husband boss, wife manager, I'm a tech. All was well, after four months working wife stopped liking me. I guess just personal issues, she's always yelling at customers, always negative, always not understanding how to approach people, always makes others feel bad and blame themselves. It started after I told them how neighboring business across the street where I was doing work knows her by name because they hear her yelling at customers over the phone. Husband does the work, from time to time has problems when his wife doesn't do what he tells her, but never yells. I think he hasn't balls to put things into place, and avoids conflict.

Well, until today I was thinking black and white, that wife (manager) is a crazy idiot and husband (boss) just doesn't see or want to deal with it. I've yelled at her several times and nothing thus far happened, she'd just move back, act nice, and then show her b*tch attitude again. I asked my buddy today why they don't fire and do this, and he led me onto something: conscience.

I now believe they both are in on this, and rather me quit than fire me.

I have a choice to make and absolutely don't know which way to move. I only know one, it's going to be the way it's designed to be.

A) I quit.

B) I stay until they fire me.

In case of A, it's a hard world. I absolutely don't know if I'll be able to find a job, and if it will pay money I need. I also have an option of starting my own business or working freelance. Basically A is big white world out there, it's taking chances, going all out, and risking failing, burning, crashing, and ending up on the street as a bom.

In case of B, it's secure to a point. I stay there, take it, and wait till they fire me. Meanwhile I'll start work on freelance and business stuff, and maybe even look for other work, whatever way I'll take there.

Honestly, I want to walk in there tomorrow, and say f*ck you guys, good luck. I wonder if it's right for me though.

I wanted to call it quits last time she had an episode, beginning of March, but decided to stay, because the next day she was all nice. I'd really could use their business to buy equipment if I ever go freelance, so I thought I'll make friends. But now it's happening again, and I have a better understanding that it's not just her, it's them both, so I don't give a sh*t. I really don't care nor feel guilty that they don't want me there. I've done my job, and been straight with them. They took me in you see because of my education, but they can just barely afford me, because business isn't doing great. It's not my fault though,.

C) Stay, but apply at other companies. Quit when you find another job; if they fire you in the meantime... oh well... that's it.

I don't know where your from and how long you've worked there...
But if the law is anything like here in canada, they might not fire you because then they would have to pay you severance pay.

If my company fired me they'd have to pay me $7,000...

"I've yelled at her several times and nothing thus far happened, she'd just move back, act nice, and then show her b*tch attitude again."

You yelled at a women who is the manager of the company and married to the boss of the company?

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

You have no responsibility in any of this? I'm sure it feels better to victimize yourself, and bathe in the soothing orb of internet hugs; but I would bet my ass there's far more to this than you're telling.

Plus he's the tech guy; in my experience, tech guys are at best socially awkward and at worst socially inept little creeps who scurry around like a kid sneaking away to sniff underwear and masturbate.

I have zero fault in this. I've done my work, and kept it civil up to a point. Problem is they gobbled me, I have plenty of education, gobbled me without having any clear plan. Know what I end up doing most of days? I sit in office, waiting for work to arrive. I believe the root of all of this is lack of money, they either get just enough to pay for me, or go into minuses.

Sure I've yelled at the b*tch right in front of her husband, my boss. She was yelling at me for no reason, making my life hard over absolutely nothing, something a woman that hates your guts would do. I just yelled at her and said everything I think about her, how 70% of customers leave because when asked a question she makes a face like its hard for her to answer and then takes half a minute to do anything, also told her how our neighbors across the street can hear her and asked me if she's sane.

Socially inept has nothing to do with it, I'm the most ept guy in that office.

You violated two laws of power.

Law 19: Know Who You’re Dealing with – Do Not Offend the Wrong Person

There are many different kinds of people in the world, and you can never assume that everyone will react to your strategies in the same way.  Deceive or outmaneuver some people and they will spend the rest of their lives seeking revenge.  They are wolves in lambs’ clothing.  Choose your victims and opponents carefully, then – never offend or deceive the wrong person.
Law 24: Play the Perfect Courtier

The perfect courtier thrives in a world where everything revolves around power and political dexterity.  He has mastered the art of indirection; he flatters, yields to superiors, and asserts power over others in the mot oblique and graceful manner.  Learn and apply the laws of courtiership and there will be no limit to how far you can rise in the court.

Never Criticize Those Above You Directly. This may seem obvious, but there are often times when some sort of criticism is necessary—to say nothing, or to give no advice, would open you to risks of another sort. you must learn, however, to couch your advice and criticism as indirectly and as politely as possible. Think twice, or three times, before deciding you have made them sufficiently circuitous. Err on the side of subtlety and gentleness.

Master Your Emotions. As an actor in a great play, you must learn to cry and laugh on command and when it is appropriate. You must be able both to disguise your anger and frustration and to fake your contentment and agreement. You must be the master of your own face. Call it lying if you like; but if you prefer to not play the game and to always be honest and upfront, do not complain when others call you obnoxious and arrogant.

I'm not a lawyer, but my understanding is that severance pay is not required by law in the US. It is at the discretion of the employer. Big companies use it as a payoff/bribe to avoid litigation. Another words, we'll give you x weeks of severance pay if you waive your right to sue the company.

Back to the main topic, even if the b@tchy wife deserved it, you had nothing to gain and everything to lose by yelling at her.

Family businesses are tough to work for. Family members can get away with screaming at each other BECAUSE they are family and can't be fired. If she were not a relative, I doubt the boss would tolerate her sh@t. For now, start looking for another job.
