Man protests law requiring him to pay child support for another man’s child

http://fox6now.com/2016/03/24/man-p...-to-pay-child-support-for-another-mans-child/

"I opened it up and it was child support, for a kid that is not even mine," he said.

The child was recently born to his long estranged wife, and there's no way it's his, he said.

"We've had no contact whatsoever in 16 or 17 years, and the child just turned one year old," Vandusen said.

But by law, Joe is still legally responsible and the state and its Child Support Recovery Unit, are telling him, he had better pay up.

"I explained to her this is not my child. I'm willing to do a paternity test and she flat out told me it does not matter, you're legally married to her. You're going to pay child support," Vandusen said.

The couple broke up but were never divorced, and Iowa law and many other states require husbands to pay child support for any child born during the marriage.

Job's not done until the paperwork is DONE.

As bad as this is, he left himself wide open.

Holy fvcking shyt....I didn't know this o_O??

So wait a minute, if I get a marriage license in Iowa:

- You mean to tell me that if I'm separated with a chick and going through the divorce proceedings (which means the divorce isn't official yet) but during that time she fvcks some deadbeat THUG and gets pregnant....I'm on the hook to pay child support for that deadbeat thug's kid?

- You mean to tell me that if my wife goes out and cheats on me with a deadbeat THUG, and gets pregnant, I AM THE ONE responsible for paying for the thug's kid even though said act of adultery would prompt me to want to end the marriage?

Now, somebody one more time remind me why the FVCK do guys get married in this country? I see the potential RISKS, but can someone point me to ONE (just one) potential reward?

The date of filing for divorce is normally (states are different) the key for deciding things like this. Once you file, many courts look at what you do after that as separate. If he didn't file, he screwed himself. He is likely also in for all sorts of financial stuff too.

Getting married doesn't guarantee that though:

- I could get divorced before I'm on the death bed.

- I could be separated from the wife while I'm on the death bed, which means she's more than likely not going to be there.

When I'm old, I'm getting long term care insurance and having a dedicated nurse by my side, instead of some bytch who might be treating me like shyt just waiting for me to die to collect on my estate.

Of course there's no guarantee, but that doesn't stop blue pillers from buying into 'eternal love'.

Good point about having a dedicated nurse though.

My ex the bigamist wh0re tried to petition the court through an order of protection right after we split trying to order me to pay child support for her two teenage sons who she had 13-15 years before she ever met me. Even her own attorney laughed at her. But then later I used it against her hard. I claimed those two boys on my taxes the following April and claimed "head of household". So did she, even though I worked two jobs and she didn't work any.. The IRS naturally inquired why we both claimed the same children on seperate tax returns.. I sent the IRS a copy of her order of protection where she tried to get the child support from me. I said "IRS, if you look at Exhibit A (her order of protection) it is clear to any reasonably thinking person of clear and sound mind that I was financially responsible for the two said minor children during the said year. Otherwise, why would she seek child support for the said children knowing that I am not their biological father? Thus, based on that said fact it is logical to conclude that I should be the one to claim them on taxes for the said year, given that she has admitted in Exhibit A that I was financially liable for them" It worked. The IRS sided with me and I got to claim them and she didn't. From what I understand this cost her about $1000 that I got and she did not. haha

A white Knight settling and marrying a sl@t. But its hard to defend him since he never finalized the paperwork to the divorce. He's probably going to have to learn the hard way...

If you can't find one that's WORTH marrying, then don't. Simple enough. Make sure that she brings enough to the table to make it worth giving up your freedom. If she's not going to make major contributions of money and time, keep looking, cause you aint found her yet.
