I think guys who aren't 'naturals' or 'atheletes' or are 'afraid' of women need someone to guide them, how to look, how to dress, how to talk, but a dating coach would actually be detrimental.

So true, any kind of self development is a process. It takes time to get good at something. It takes time to change your mindset. What can one gain from speaking to a "coach" for an hour on Skype. Most of them will just blow smoke up your azz. Make them temporarily feel good. Give them a little boost by telling them "you are the prize". A temporary bandaid. It reminds me of wife hunter's "advice" (all gleamed from Cory Wayne videos, nothing form his own lived experience) "you are the prize" "she is trash" "walk away" all platitudes that change nothing or improves nothing over the long term. In fact, so many man are spouting that "only approach quality women"....it's a fvcking buffer......the quality one never comes along and thus you don't have to experience any real live potential rejection.....

You are dealing with emotion when you are dealing with women. How is a dating coach going to tell you what to say in a specific situation when you are alone with a woman you are attracted to and she throws you a curveball?

Exactly. Get out there and gain experience. Get rejected, reject, mess things up sometimes, learn.....get real reference points. Speak to women, speak to people.

If you want to learn what to do, read books, get to school, get your education, watch some movies where the man is in control, has power, knows what he wants. Watch how people dress, look, act, talk. Go out there and make a fool of yourself so you can get experience and confidence. That's the only way.

Most "dating coaches" have no idea what you're doing. Might as well use that money toward fitness and getting jacked. That's what I'm doing this summer. Also spending on fun travel (not to get women just to relax) and better quality food.

I wouldn't necessarily pay for a dating coach because tried and tested system. The furthest I went was buying "Models" but that honestly was the best $30 bucks I spent on women.

I do have a good social circle. A smart kind and pretty girlfriend who amongst other things cuts my toenails for me. It's the little things that get you.

Reasonable body count I stopped counting after 50.

After a two-year battle with the flab I'm definitely at least athletic looking. Play competition tennis and badminton. And highly trained in a number of Martial Arts. Speak 3 languages. Excellent cook.

I have a management position and earn six figures.

And guess what I'm not a coach. I'm still a student and I still learn plenty from the guys here including the young guys. Even occasionally from BigNeil. I regard myself as an average member here and that is the strength of the community.

I agree. And it's interesting that you mention that because it's something I've been talking about lately. Not necessarily although I think
I did mention it in a thread related to martial arts. The truly confident have a judicious mix of self belief and humility.

...this guy comes into a forum and starts blasting other men out of it calling them keyboard jockeys and claiming that he's the master pimp.........now there's something very suspect in all that. A man that knows his own abilities and knows what he's capable of because of past experience and present success/training.......normally does not have the "need" to big himself up by belittling others.......which is this guy's style. You are better off paying a Physical Trainer than a dating coach. 3 days per week, 1 hour per session is enough to see a huge difference.

A dating coach is just one opinion. That's like asking one person how they rate a particular woman. The best thing about SS is that we get a consensus from dating coaches (and students). Usually the coaches win the argument (but as Amante points out, read carefully).

Want a dating coach? Hire a model for a photo shoot and pay her a few hundred for her time (about 4-6 times cheaper than a dating coach per hour). You get to control every variable, her hair, her outfit, her makeup. Then take her to dinner and photograph her. You might seduce her (you'll usually get a pity peck), but you'll at least learn why you didn't seduce her. Always pay up front so you're not extorting anything.

I have a "hottie" but she is a liability, doesn't really add to my life in any way. Doesn't even make me look good. I have other female friends who do add to my life, do things for me, put me in a good light, dig into their purses for me, but look a notch or two down from my "hotty". They submit to me, and I know if they were my woman they would do their best to please me... My "hottie" pleases herself, as most of them do.
