The bitter irony of all this is, that from 2016-The Present, we've essentially been in a social climate which very closely mirrors The 1950s in terms of it's repressiveness. And this has sucked s-it through a f-cking straw!!!

The Nostalgiacels have had their wish for awhile now, and they're still somehow even more miserable than the rest of us

It's worst now (except for the Chads/Tyrones/Chadrones, etc..) than the 1950s since as a net more guys had sex because of strict monogomy/marriage. In that light it is actually less repressive as there was less sexlessness among guys. Also women needed guys to be a breadwinner to them and beta guys acutally also had more value.

I've learned the hard way that trying to Red Pill guys out of this particular myth("Back in The 50s, even the schleps had little to no difficulty snagging decent p-ssy!!!")is more fruitless than trying to persuade an Evangelical Christian that the dead don't rise from the grave, even if the corpse in question happens to be a fella named Yeshua from Nazareth

I won't p-ss away the effort here

I'm an Evangelical Christian too. Thanks for not p-ss away your effort here.

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

I've got some lousy news for you, hoss, in addition to Jesus never having risen from the dead:

-Neither Santa Claus nor The Easter Bunny are real

-The Stork didn't drop you off in front of the orphanage; You emerged from a vijayjay, just like the rest of us

-DiCaprio isn't remotely hetero. All of those alleged affairs with supermodels have been stage managed

Religious discussions are not allowed on this board. If you are going to be going on some posting rampage and risk getting yourself flagged and/or banned, then be my guest. You are not going to drag me into it.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Hi Cornbread,
"Nostalgia"suggests a yearning for something previously experienced and lost.....Well I lived through the Fifties,it was a miserable, cheese paring existence....Good riddance to that!

If you want a different take on the 1950's read On The Road by Jack Kerouac. Captures the feeling of optimism and sense of possibility of the post war era and chronicles the burgeoning counterculture scene as well. There was creaks and creases in the "stifling conformity" if you knew where to look but you were stuck with jazz as the cool music until Elvis came along.

Add to that the creaks and creases you're referring to were only one part of The 1950s. As noted here, at 3:25-3:60

Things had become inane and repressive once again, by time the late 50s rolled around... The constipated atmosphere that engulfed much of The Industrialized World didn't become less plugged up until '64, with the advent of Beatlemania

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

Oddly enough, similar factors (Sketchy social science, Panic over violent crime, etc) during both The 1950s and The Late 10s-Today led to both eras becoming far more priggish and censorship-friendly

Only difference: Folks in The 1950s were terrified that crime and horror comics, Weed, and Rock And Roll might be turning teens into greasy-haired, switch blade wielding hoodlums. Whereas in the late 10s, entirely too many of us were infected with a delusion which dictate that action movies, scantily clad centerfolds, and testosterone alone could turn Everyday Joes into mass shooting serial rapists

I'll kinda sorta grant one concession to True Believers In All Things Red Pill... From late '16-The Present, the state of free speech has been in lousy shape

9:45-14:00

The brand of ostentatious sensitivity that's transformed our social climate into the highly constricted clusterf-ck it is today isn't entirely new*, nonetheless it has definitely been more pervasive for going on a decade now. Free Speech was in better shape as recently as The 2000s and the early 10s

On fetlife, there is a long list of fetish fantasies people can say interest them, one of which is "1950s Household." It's more women than men who check that box.

Well, life probably WAS pretty cush for June Cleaver and Harriet.... Pity they were no less fictional than Neo, Morpheus, and The Matrix are
