We need to be reminded that we do not have any kind power over women, however, the most powerful thing we process is the power to walk away. Don't underestimate this, put it to good use. If she's not interested, walk away. If she's disrespecting you, walk away. If she's making your life a misery, walk away. If she's a bad influence in your life, walk away.

We sometimes find it difficult to walk away because we've invested so much time, effort and feelings into that particular girl. Change this mindset, know when to cut your losses and walk away. Walk away to better things in life.

It's been said and am not lecturing anyone, just wanted to put it down to remind myself.

I think social-proof is more powerful in having sway. Any loser can walk away out of frustration. If you go on that vein, then get castated, then you have all the power you want. All that means is you have no power and have to give up for the sake of sanity. It's power over your sanity, not power over women.

The power issues come from skewed dynamics of North American culture. Women here have plenty of options, they can go online and get a date from lots of guys com, and if a guy doesn't have status, social proof, then already the dynamics are skewed against the average guy. When that is the only decent girlfriend you could get in two or three years, or once in a blue moon, when she gets what she wants on demand, then what good is walk away power? Walk away to what? What are the other options? Every hot girl is the same.

If you are high-status in the first place and are a ladies guy and you have a book with a list of women hot women you can call for a hook-up, or have other women texting your cell phone whenever you are out on your date, then that sounds more like having power to me. So, it sounds like social proof works.

It's not so much our power over women as it is the value we may add.

This is a pretty general statement (but not a trivial generalization) and includes all of the things that have been mentioned... power, social proof, attention, and more.

It also includes the ability to walk away. Just because we have value to add doesn't mean we will in fact add it.

I don't like the frame of "our power over women". This is a very limiting frame, IMO, because it's very context dependent and as a result, not something we have a lot of control over. Are we rich, powerful, socially proven? Are we rock stars, presidents, senators, or CEOs? Probably not. If we select one women out of the sample of the 3+ billion there are in the world, can we with any certainty say what the best ways to "push her buttons are" (in a specific way)?

No.

The frame of adding value is a much better frame because it's definitely something we can control and does not require us to be anything more than our best selves. That's not a trivial statement. It takes a lot of work to become your best self. But when you are, your presence becomes very valuable and a woman will go out of her way to seek value.

Could you construe this as a power tactic? Yes.

But if you are, are you really being your best self? Probably not.

The fact there are more men than women in China makes the gender ratios skewed. Again, women have all the power in China since you don't have every woman for every man there. If America the gender ratios are more balanced, and 80% guys have to compete for 20% of the women, if you go by the 80/20 rule (nobody challenging this concept here?), then how worst can it be in China when there isn't even enough women to go around mathematically.

So, maybe I'll agree with you, men have built a world where women rule over them would be a fair assessment. In China you have the skewed genders that put women in higher sexual demand since they are more rare so you really have to be a high status male there to have a chance of a decent woman. In North America, they put all sorts of laws that can put a normal guy in jail for being a man. Even if you don't end up in jail, you can get a criminal record that nukes all your travel and employment opportunities.

The only types of men that benefit from that world, again are alpha males, or the top 1%, or shall we say the top 20% of guys.

Tell me how come men have allowed laws to progress in such a way that women can legally a$$-rape them in divorce court for half their assets or make a false accusation and be coddled in the court system while an innoscent guy is victim to her whims? Is this your man's world? Then it is your man's world that puts women on a pedistle.
