When you get dumped by a broad, and she can't stand seeing you with someone new (and potentially hotter), her attitude is "Well, you can't fnck me, but you can't fnck someone else, either!

The name is "hurt ego" i guess. The behaviour is akin to that of a child who has no interest for a toy anymore, then the parent gives the toy to another child and the first one break the toy so neither can have it. Extremely childish, spoiled behaviour.
It's not the opposite of social proof, social proof is a good thing, having a spoiled girl throw a tantrum of sorts because of you is also a good thing.

Man yeah that is rough. I broke up with a girl once. She followed me around a frat party. Literally. Like stuck to me like glue. Telling me about all my bad qualities bla bla bla. Yeah, needless to say I did not make too many new friends that night.
