Online dating there's a finite amount of people

Something I've noticed when I had on and off breaks from online dating. One time I took a full year off of POF and when I attempted to try again. I'd see the same women there that I had already contacted historically.

I think to myself, "Should I try sending them a message...again?" Sometimes it takes more than one repeat email to be blocked.

But, when I do...I realized I was blocked the first time and maybe the people there fail to recognize there's only a limited or finite amount of single people in their geographic location.

So these ladies wind up being online dating spinsters...forever on these sites.

Over the years, I'd actually start to see them pop up on my "People you may know" Facebook feed. Sometimes I wonder if I contact them outside of the dating site, if that'd be a good or bad idea...but if I'm a betting man, if I had ran into them in public...they'd be open to actually listening to what I had to say, yes?

I don't know, I'm getting more validation profiles, bot accounts and "haven't logged on in 450 days" girls than anything.

What are "validation" profiles?
basically accounts that girls make to count how many likes/messages they get and to farm supplication and praise. and to do #WasteHisTime challenges for their amusement.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

Women who are mentally healthy and attractive to at least some sub-set of men don't need OLD, and it probably wouldn't occur to them to use it at all.

If a woman stays on OLD it's because she's only there for validation to see how far men will go for her and how much entertainment she can get in the process, and/or because she is compromised in some way.

Formation I'm curious what "Compromised" means, could you elaborate on that?

I remember talking to a group of cute college girls about OLD and Tinder. And they told me straight up we don't need we have the men on campus and the bars.
There is this myth on sosuave that the same women, in the field are on OLD websites, and while i agree some of them are most of them are not!.
When I go in the field I see gorgeous women and a caliber that you seldom see online (Even on sites like Bumble/Tinder POF is trash)
the reason why you don't see those women online is because these women are attractive and have no problems meeting men in real life.

Women who have been online for years and years on end. Are women that are in my theory 1. Being pumped and dumped by alpha's on the site or 2. They are extremely picky and will drop a guy over little stuff. Sadly these women tend to be the most damaged no matter how attractive they are.

This is all my opinion of course

This is the group I asked, They looked better in person, the picture doesn't do him justice, nice tight bodies. In my town your just not gonna find that online

Good points. Of course, these are college-aged girls. So it would make sense they wouldn't need OLD>

When you get out of college, the dating pool dramatically drops and online dating profiles and singles speed dating events are populated by late 20s, 30s, and 40 somethings big time.

I have, however, seen in person the same women I've seen online, via some of the Meetup events I go to. lol. It's funny, because I knew of men that were rejected online to have bumped into the same women in person, show them their game, and viola phone # given!

I agree that , the pool does drop, and post college women will go on, however I will say this, the hottest women where i live are in the field.
If you were to judge how hot the women in my town are based on online dating, you would never ever wanna come here lol there is a major difference

Most commonly some kind of mental issue whether it's a flat out obvious/covert personality disorder, delusional pickiness or always looking to/entertaining the idea of "upgrading" men, self-esteem issues that they resolve by (ab)using men, etc. These kinds of women can't or won't stop using OLD despite what they might tell you or themselves and you'll find them there year after year. This is practically a given when you're dealing with women on OLD who can be considered pretty/sexy to some group of men, whether it's a woman who appeals to everyone like a Playboy-model or a woman who appeals to some like a bbw with a thick @ss. And if they didn't already have these issues going in, they will develop them if they stay on OLD long enough.

Most women who are healthy mentally and don't have something like a fatherless kid with them just don't use OLD. It wouldn't occur to them in the first place. Women date through social circles.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

At that point you are a real person not just a couple pictures on her screen

Women that stay on OLD are generally the ones with issues. Most will not admit to how long they have been using it, but you can get a good idea from their convo.
Men stay on OLD to get laid.

I have found that most women have at least tried it, regardless of their quality. A lot of women I know try it for a short time, end up not liking it, and then meet people the normal way through friends, social gatherings. My current plate hasn't ever done it and my exgf said she tried it for a very short time. An outgoing, level-headed, and attractive woman will not have any issues finding a decent man outside of OLD.

If you see a hot woman on OLD, it is either a fake account or she has some major issues. Think about it, she probably gets approached everywhere she goes. What is soooo wrong with her that she needs to use OLD?

Exactly. The last few women I dated I met at a real life event....most barely touched Facebook, 2 of them didn't even have Internet IN the house! That's a shocker. lol. They'd use WI-Fi somewhere, one of them went online during her lunch break.

Agreed on how some would try it once, but never looked back. I went on a date with a woman that ONLY went out with me because she knew me through a friend (We've met in the past at a dinner)...she told me this and even said she wasn't all that thrilled about it to begin with. She didn't stick around on OK Cupid for long.

One of my last g/f's I dated, while we were at a fleamarket, spotted a guy who she saw online. Said he knew him in real life and wandered the area talking to trees. lol

Yeah, speaking of which, this profile is a good example. She's been on this site for years and she writes a lengthy profile that really sounds like "Wtf is she talking about?" Is she writing in a different prose?
She gets into some kind of medical/health techno-babble about hormones and how they operate when people "connect."

Age 45, longest relationship under a year. Never married. (Single chosen as opposed to divorce).
