OnLine Dating, No Picture

So I started talking to a girl on line yesterday. Ran across her add with no pic, but she's from my town which is very small. The add says 5'5, slim, blonde hair and blue eyes. College grad, etc. I start talking to her, send her my pic and she says "your way out of my leauge." I ask why and she says she "has low self esteem", that when she goes out to bars "no guys hit on her" when they do "they are so drunk that they can't stand up."

What this means to me is that she is either hot or a complete dog. We start talking more and she says she has a belly button ring. Do ugly unsecure girls get belly button ring? Anyway I haven't seen a pic b/c she says she doesn't have one. She wants to do something this week, but I'm skeptic as hell. Anyone have any surprise luck with this kind of stuff?

If she were pretty, do you think most guys would wait til they are dead drunk to hit on her? All the guys in your town can't be such pvssies that they'd be afraid of such a stunning beauty, would they? I doubt it.

If she were that hot why is jumping at the chance to meet you already after one conversation - smells like desperation to me.

p.s. if you are willing to brave this, here's the one positive - you could probably easily fukk her brains out... if her ugliness doesn't make your cuck shrivel up! If you do, tho... then she'll probably get attached...

Dude, an ad with no pic is a red flag. It's common etiquette nowadays to have a digital picture ready. She is really hiding something from you. Furthermore, her "lack of self esteem" can be a problem. If all you want is some sex, then knock yourself out and ask her out.

If you do want to meet her, remember to plan an escape route if the date goes sour. Keep us posted.

Yeah man forget that. I HAVE noticed that a lot of girls who don't post the picture initially can turn out to be very hot when you see a picture of them later, but NEVER trust a girl who says they don't have one. You can get a picture on the computer anywhere now'a days. Friggin Kinkos or CVS will scan it for ya. I would staight up tell her that you'd love to meet her but you'd like to see a picture first. She should understand. If not, then you know she has something to hide.

The "no picture rule" is funny. A chick can send you anybody's picture and claim it is her if she is desperate for a date.

So a picture doesn't mean anything.

Unless your schedule is so stacked that you can't spend 15 minutes and 25 cents for coffee, what's the loss? I don't think ugly is contagious, so you can probably risk getting within 10 feet of it for a few minutes.

I did the online dating thing a while back..and met like 5-6 chicks..ALWAYS asked them for at LEAST 5-6 pics..if they didnt have them..I wouldnt meet them..and kept pestering them to get more..

EVen so..There was only 1 chick that was true to her pictures..the rest looked like they snapped pictures of themselves from a funhouse mirror

I've gotten a lot of dating action off the internet lately. Actually, I'm getting pretty good at it. Some women, for a variety of reasons, just don't want to blatently advertize themselves (be recognized) in their ad. I've met some pretty good looking women (7-8) that didn't have a pic in their profile. But this is a minority. I'd say 10-20%. This percentage may be lower for younger chicks, I'm looking at the 25-45 category.

Most of the ones that don't have a pic aren't hot looking, know it, and hope to hook you with their personality (sounds like the average DJ approach! lol). "Slim, blonde, blue eyes" doesn't mean she's hot. IMHO, this particular one is sending you all the signals that she falls into this category. She's intimidated by you (I have no idea where you stand on the looks scale). If you play your cards right, and get her to relax, she could be an easy lay. If that's the kind of thing you're interested in. But don't expect much in the looks departement. I'd be willing to bet good money that she's a 6 at best.

Example of a girl I met up from the net recently: Very interesting and well-written profile, university student, 5'8", slim, brown hair & black eyes, no pic. Sounds like a model, right? Actually, just bod-wise, she could be (but then a lot of girls that age can, hehe). In the prettyness departement, about a 5 on my scale (and I'm not picky). I wasn't expecting much, so I wasn't dissapointed. That's about what you can expect, if she didn't lie in her profile. In which case leave immediately. That will save your face, and maybe discourage her from pulling this stunt again. I've never had that happen to me. Maybe I'm lucky or just good at reading profiles.

Side-note: I've never had a woman show me innacurate pics. Except a few bad ones, in which she actually looked worse than in real-life.

I'm talking more trying to swindle some pics. Says she has her ta-ta shaven and pierced and that her boyfriend of 2 years broke up with her in July. Could be the reason for the low self-esteem.

From what i've seen only girls that are comfortable with there body-image get peircings and tatoos and the such,they do not neccesarily look attractive or un-atracctive.But on the other hand everybody's getting nowadays and maybe she did it too fit in.

Let me tell you what I'm talking about, I have an ad and it has no picture. I also send replies to girls with no picture. Let me tell you, they are just as picky as the ones with pictured becaus I get nothing.
Of course that's to be expected, I am a loser by the way, but it strikes me as interesting that everyone thinks a picure is going to make things better, it wont. All it does is give a spotlight to your pain, which you're trying to hide with the non-picture ad in the first place.
But none of you get it because you go out an dget laid and everything, which meand low self-esteem is everywhere

This is one of the best posts that I have read from a self professed 'loser.' He is absolutely right, Internet dating IS nothing more than real life while using a different medium.

I admit there are a bunch of posers on the Net but it is very easy to weed out the weaklings. For instance, although a picture would be nice, it doesn't tell the entire story. Very seldom will you get a current full body shot. You will get pics that are a few years old or even worse, Glamor Shot pics.

On the flip side, I had a lot of success with women without pics when they had no trepidation in giving me a pretty detailed description of themselves. More than just telling me their height, hair and eye color, they would tell me that PLUS their weight, jeans/dress size and general build.

Not all women will tell you this but the ones that are proud enough of their looks will. Those would be a good bet to meet in my book.
