One strike and they're out

In the past, if a girl does not return my call or answer, I call again once a week or so, whenever I have time, up to a maximum of 3 times. If she does not answer or call back, I delete her number.

Now I think this is wrong. I am now thinking that, if a girl does not return my call or answer the first time, that's it. I won't call back and I will delete her number. What is the point? If you have to keep calling her back to get her on the phone, she has a low interest level. You are not going to change low interest level into a high interest level. It has to be there from the initial interaction.

Do you agree with 'one strike and they're out'? I just get tired of wondering if the girl is going to call back or not, thinking if I should call her again, etc. This way, if she doesn't call back, that's it. I don't have to waste my time worrying about someone who has low interest leve and will likely flake again even if I do get her on the phone.

No. Sometimes, they genuinely didn't get your message.

And some girls are just shy and want to be pursued a bit.

Other times, not returning a call means the girl is interested in you. Where there is attraction, there is tension and fear.

I would call 3-4 times. If they don't return the call, then I use the DELETE function on my phone.

one strike and they're out works for me.... no point in waiting around. If her interest is high enough she should want to go out of her way to call you back.

Also works very well if you've been dj'ing heaps of girls... sorts em out very nicely.

Once is a mistake. Twice is deliberate.

Yeah, sometimes they don't get the message. But it's been rare that any gal who has not called back has been worth the bother in my experience.

What do you make of a girl who does call you back -- but she waits 3 days sometimes to call back? This girl is frustrating because - just as I"m about to delete her number, she calls back to invite me out for drinks.

Only way to find out is to take her up on it, and see where things go. You'll know very quickly if she's just trying to chump you for free drinks.

She is weird.

I call her on a Thursday, she doesn't call back til Sunday. At that point, the weekend is over so I don't ask her out again. Then she will call me out of the blue and ask me to go to a wine tasting, but I have plans so I can't go. THis happened twice already.

What's up w that?

Haha, dude, I dunno what's up with that stuff.

I called this girl on Sunday, left her a message, and she just got back to me this morning (Friday) saying she had been busy.

Nobody is too busy that they can't make a 5 minute call, in my opinion, and I think she was just testing me or playing games or something.

Anyways, should be going over to "watch a movie" at her place on tuesday

Just do what you want. I'll call a girl that I'm not that interested in once, and if she doesn't return it I don't really mind. But I'll call a girl that I'm rather interested in twice. Just be flexible and do what you want, what do you have to lose besides some minutes on your phone?
