For the second time in 3 months I had a love-at-first-sight type experience with a gorgeous girl who I randomly bumped into.

In this case she told a shopkeeper she liked me and for him to give me her number.

She quickly (and rudely I might add) asked "How old are you?" This is known to be rude to ask a woman but it is equally impolite to ask anyone.

Anyhow, without telling me how old she thought I was (which I asked at first), and without telling me how old she was (which I asked after), the second I told her the truth that I'm 42 she never sent a single message again. She's probably over 30 too (the other was 24).

What makes me mad is that in both cases the girls met me and really liked me or I never would have got their number to begin with. I can understand if it's an online thing or a blind date and they rule you out, but I obviously don't LOOK 42, so if I lied I would have had dates with them.

So it's making me think it's time we start lying to these b*tches, but I'd rather tell the truth and expose them for being so shallow.

dude you should know this by now, but a little reminder:
if a woman wants to fvck you, she won't care about your age, looks ,car etc....
she will fvck you nevertheless.

this wo-man was never interested to begin with, i bet a fifty ,your guts was telling you that she is flake before she asked about your age.

When I go out I get that all the time. Especially since I meet a lot of females in the 25-33 range. I always tell them at first that I'm old enough to have a Masters Degree (In which I do have).

Just say something confident. Whatever you say say it with confidence. It will help a whole lot.

What did you want from these women?

If it's just a ONS, or something casual -- LIE. Had a string of older women lately, a couple of them tried to disqualify me based on age. I ignored them or said something witty like PrettyBoyAJ's example. If she presses, you get annoyed and say "At first it was cute, now it's just rude."

Too many "age wh@res" today.
Don't any of you guys on this board know that you must lie to women? It keeps their hamster spinning!

I get this a lot too...people are shocked to find out I'm over 35 but I don't like lying. I've started playing it off with "old enough....." type answers but they almost always press.

A particular problem for me is online...the only type of online dating I do is kink related...there are serious safety and trust issues with that, for good reason, and you literally can't lie even if you want to.

I haven't minded getting older, but that little shift in the psycology of numbers really sucks. I'm just now starting to be attracted to women over 30, for f's sake.

This was a false alarm.

She just took 5 hours to reply that's all.

But I took a chance with a bold text - sort of thinking I was going to blow it but double texted with "Oh I get it, you're 38 and wanted a guy who is 35".

She has since told me her life story. Russian, 31, single.

OMG I bet she's a stripper.

But remember the bold move when all else fails.

I was right. I just got her to admit it.
