I'll wish I had done a lot more creating and a lot less consuming. (Obviously I aspire to turn that around now.)

I don't really understand why people wish they'd traveled more. So you would have seen more places... but how would that have improved your life or made you happier with yourself?

Spending time with other cultures can be an eye-opening experience. For example, when I was young, my dad took me to Egypt. I remember seeing a group of kids playing soccer with some made ball having the best time of their life. Another situation is when I went to Kenya. We arrived at 130am, and this family literally put on a last minute Thanksgiving style feast, and showed true compassion for complete strangers. It gives you an appreciations for what you have here. If you approach travel with an open mind, involve yourself in the culture, and meet many new people, it can be a very eye-opening experience.

If you just go see the sights and do touristy things, you might as well stay at home and photoshop yourself into a picture on Google.

I believe Tenacity has a point, the regret wouldnt be not seeing monuments built from someone else millennia ago but fail to fight for what you believed was right.

"Im going to die soon but the world is a better place because of me, I made right of what was wrong" sounds much better to me than "I got rich, had fun, banged girls got a selfie at the eiffel tower".
I agree with this.

That's why despite having a great passion for travel that makes me feel both alive and masculine, it's not enough. It's not a "long term goal" in and of itself, even if I smash some hot girls and see some great artifacts of history.

Now, if I started a travel company that lived beyond me, whose mission statement convinced some young people in the year 2100 of what you're saying: that 9-5 and endlessly chasing the next product doesn't make a life well lived (coupled with my message that world travel can), THEN just simply traveling the world with this message/product could make that all worth it.

This is why I'm dissatisfied with life and feel the pressure mounting as I approach 30. I HAVE found my passion, but by itself it is nothing that will live after me.

I just wish that I could be the first person to do it all. Or at least one of the very, very few if there are any. That is all. I really wish money was not an issue for my family at all though. Were it not for that, I would be able to accomplish my goal(s). But because it is, I am stuck at a crossroads of what I want to do: do I choose to follow through with one goal and fail the other making me struggle financially more so than my father or do I do the 'normal' thing and study, do my work, and make at minimum around $350,000 by the time I'm 35 while working around 50+ hours a week.

Wish I did more partying, sex, drugs, and travelling.

But I'm still very young. Besides, I've got all other aspects of my life sorted, and ahead of the majority of guys my age.
