He wants to know if he should verify the date too. I usually don't.
* Unless I need to embark on a journey of 20+ miles, I wait until they write. I don't send date reminders. One reason I spoil them on dates is so I can be secretly happy if they blow me off (I save).

* They should text you sometime either the day before or day of (by 2pm or so) and will say "We're still on for tonight right?" And you say "Of course!" and they reply "I'm excited!!!"

* A lot of times I'll follow through with the plan regardless. I'll write "I'll be at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse at the bar at 8:15PM on Saturday, it's at 123 Main street in Midtown, 31249". If they text a confirmation, I'll be there. If they don't show, I text a picture of my entrée when it arrives, then shut my ringer off.

* The Low Interest Filter - Often the day before the date, I text a sweet nothing message. If they don't reply, I cancel the date the day of, around 3pm, anticipating a flake. If they really want to go, they will put some effort in and say "No, I'm so disappointed! I already started getting ready...." and you can make an exception.

* The moral is: only date women who REALLY like you.

Solid thread, this sort of knowledge should be required to graduate high school or get a GED
Decent threat. Honestly, it's simpler.

Don't text. The phone is a communication device to plan dates. Use it as such and nothing more. Anything stupid you send will be used against you, and forever there for her to see.
