Cutting off your foreskin is only for cosmetic/religious reasons, which are both pretty retarded. Relgion is retarded because basically you still believe in imaginary friends. Cosmetics is retarded because even if you have a "cut" penis you probably have no balls aka confidence to carry yourself if you HAD foreskin. It's not even a big deal.

The United Nations, National Institute of Health and many other well-respected organizations disagree with you because their websites quite clearly point out that there ARE health benefits to being circumcised. Yes, it's optional and is done for both religious and cosmetic reasons...but there ARE people who circumcise their sons in the spirit of preventing against future medical problems like that the OP faced and additional protections against STDS, Urinary Tract Infections and Penile Cancer.

How do you know that circumcision was the greatest thing ever, when you haven't lived with a uncircumcised penis? Majority of men who gets circumcised in their adults actually go back and get their fore-skin reattached.

So what if you have a less chance of contracting STDs... ever heard of CONDOMS? Oh yea keeping a good hygiene is SO HARD with a uncircumcised penis, you just have to pull it back. I guess most American men are too lazy to pull it back.

This is actually one that should be left because here is a guy who had to get a circumcision as an adult...so he can talk about BOTH cut and uncut and how one differs from the other.

Some angry answers. Very touchy you americans I see. Just to explain, it was not my choice. I developed a cut and had bled from my **** 7 times before I got circuncised. It is not very pleasant.
I was just wanting to chat with other cut males, by their choice or not, which are as happy or happier being cut becasue Im not too thrilled about having a lil bit less of my ****.

Yea, this is a pretty hot issue in America today. So many American males are circumcised, and the trend is sort of fading. Now that we know the cleanliness issue is bogus (all you have to do is pull the foreskin back to clean it, something an uncut guy will do countless times anyway) it's hard to come up with a coherent argument for mutilation. C'mon, what if we told women we were going to cut off their ****s because it LOOKS better? Get real.

OK, so there are some minor benefits to getting cut. But you have to weigh those against the drawbacks. You mutilate your body because it saves you one second in the shower? Because it decreases your chances of getting STDs? I'd rather take the extra second to pull it back in the morning, and not have sex with skanks.

You know you have zero chance of athelete's foot if you cut off your feet, right?
