It does not matter at all. The reason they make difference concentrations is the cash and marketing involved. If 10% were the best, all the companies would JUST make 10%, but Neutrogena only makes the 2.5%. The reason they make 10% is because people look at it and go "OH MAXIMUM STRENGTH, I NEED THIS." I bet you would get the 95% BP if they had it.

Taking 5 times more cough syrup is not going to help your cough. It'll kill your cough, but just as good as once dose.

With the 10% BP, people tend to burn more and their skin begins to peel and it hurts sensitive skin badly. Your acne does not recognize doses. You always see the commercials, MAXIMUM STRENGTH, it doesn't matter. BP is a compound that goes into your skin, no matter what the dose. With your better results, it was either all in the head, or you changed companies that made it. The only thing 10% will do is cause over-drying. It IS as good as 2.5% at treating acne.

2.5% is the best at treating acne because it is not overly harsh on your skin. And the higher concentration tends to cause redness and peeling which will make acne worse, which is stuff that is written on the box. Something about acne getting worse in the beginning until your skin adapts. It is less likely to happen with 2.5%. The rest is just marketing trash.
