I would consider myself a mature, down to earth, well grounded, goal oriented and confident guy. I am 22 years old have been told by females and males I am past my years in maturity.
When going out or making conversation with a woman I have had more success with those 28 and older. Occasionally I will get one here and there in my immediate age range on my same maturity level.
From going out and having these experiences here is my conclusion.
It is much more flattering and ego boosting to have an attractive older woman who is career minded than a younger barbie princess model type.
I personally think it takes a female a lot longer to feel comfortable with themselves. Most and the keyword is most women age 18-26 that are better than average looking have no confidence or self understanding as to who they are or where they are going.
They have the physical traits that we want, but the mind isnt to the level of their physical appearence. It is like giving a 12 year old a loaded gun with the safety clip disingaged.
Right now I am dating a woman that is a very youthful looking 38. We go out to bowl, shoot pool, live music events, and are very compatible romantically and sexually. She is one of the best female companions I have had in a year, and that is from going out with 10-15 different women, mostly in their twenties.
If you find an attractive older woman and you like her, go for it! She will be very appreciative and respectful to you. You dont have to ask for sex or intimate favors. Their drive is as high as yours. They usually initiate. Just some food for thought
