OkCupid?

Have any of you guys used it? It's a free online dating website. I signed up a long, long time ago, maybe 4 years ago.

I signed up again 2 days ago, and I've already had nearly 75 visits to my page, and I'm honestly getting hounded by women via chat and messages. I just have a simple bio and a picture of me at 1:00 A.M. sitting in front of my computer. It's not even a good picture.

I've already had 3 women without asking me give me their number kind of as "I'm not sure when you'll see this, but you can text me at #"

I'm a little iffy if I'll text any of them. If I text them, they know my number... I'm just afraid I'm going to give a clingy girl my number... I've had enough of those.

I've never seen this kind of female attention on a website before. I will say I noticed some fake women out there. I noticed their pictures were taken from photobucket.

I think I'm going to stop sending messages and just IM whatever cute girls are online. If you notice practically any girls whose remotely attractive will respond 'very selectively'.

Thats interesting. I've been on and off okcupid for about a year, and I've gotten laid several times with women from that site - but more than 50% of the time I have to take the initiative and send out messages.

i was on it for a while not long ago. but im done with dating websites now... you put in so much effort messaging and reading profiles for jack sh!t. a lot of girls just play around... you get msgs then they just dissapear. meh.

in my opinion okcupid is better for figuring out what kind of girl your looking at, but its seems to have less people than pof.

Both are decent though, i mean hey man since you got girls messaging you thats almost half the battle right there, just pick out the ones you like and starting goin at it

Where as on PoF I've gotten A LOT of interest/messages/views, on OkCupid I'm getting almost NO interest. I hardly even get any profile views. I actually HATE the site. I've messaged a lot of girls on OkCupid and have hardly gotten any responses. Actually, the girls I message don't even view my profile most of the time. It's almost exactly opposite on PoF though. Weird.

I hate that. I see OKC girls as being more stuck up and higher social status (not that I care about that). I just use it as a pool of girls to interact with and try to only pay attention to the ones that respond to me. After I've messaged every girl I'm interested in, I go back to POF for 6 months. The POF girls seem more trashy and down to earth and more fun.

OP: Age has a lot to do with it. A guy in his early 20s is going to get msg'ed a lot more than a guy in his 30s.

I tried it once. Honestly, the amount of work it took was way more than just banging some chick from a party. If you're efficient and know what you're doing it might be more useful, but never seemed worth the trouble.
