okay to date a woman you don't think you can marry?

I'm dating this girl that I like a lot, but we have our problems and it makes me think I don't want to marry her. I know I'll probably get responses like "just break up with her", but I haven't made a final decision and I still have fun with her. On the other hand sometimes I feel like she thinks this relationship is going to lead into marriage. Any thoughts?

You have issues that would keep you from marrying her but you'd still date her? Well, I guess if you're willing to put up with it while dating her why not (if you don't think it's a waste of your time).

How long have you been dating her? Sometimes it takes months to see things another way. Don't worry about what she thinks. This is about you. If you are happy, stay that way until you're unhappy; simple as that.

yeah. we've been dating for about a year and a half. things are mostly good, but we do argue a lot. I stand up for myself, but sometimes it is impossible to reason with her sometimes. I like her as a person and she has similar interests and somewhat similar goals. I am 22 y/o and am not ready to get married because I don't know how to qualify a girl for something that seems so permanent. I am not ready to get married now, but I don't know when I should start preparing for it as I think it would be good one day, when I feel it is right (not at the moment).

You are obviously not ready nor willing to get married right now, So don't sweat it. Keep seeing her and see where things go.

Oh and when you fight with a woman, you CAN'T reason with them. So stop that.

man. the reason I can't see myself with this girl is because she doesn't know how to deal with her problems. something bad happens to her and she turns into a ball of negative energy. I try...I make an attempt to be a positive person...all the time. I try to help her out and she responds with negativity: saying stuff like "that 'just be happy' stuff may work for you but not for me"...I care about her, but I have the feeling that one of these days, I won't be able to bear her burden anymore.
