2nd. i dont think muslims are against freedom , they probably want freedom themselves, but they are against the moral standars of the western world and the globalization and constant ass ****ing america does to the underdeveloped countries.... most of the terrorists are lead by the people who were promised fortune and goodwill if they helped in the serbia war that america was so very interested in , in the end those guys didnt get anything while america denied any involvement....
Stating that our freedom is under attack is just a political argument to achieve goals , words like freedom god and peace loosly used to adapt the angry minds of humans to blilndly follow a idea....
Most muslims want what the western world has , but more want a steady markedplace , reasonable jobs with reasonable pay... but atm it seems that for someone to be wealthy safe and secure someone else has to be poor afraid and lost.....

well the books probably mroe a political topic stated from the general white christian view , but im talking about a true cultural war , burka vs mini skirt kinda war ... and i see if it ecomes to the worst state it could become that there will be a ethnical devidence in this world ... as atm here in norway people are truly corrupted by the generalization the media helps to promote....

Check out Bill O'Reilly's book which is currently number 1 in the nonfiction category, "Culture Warrior". Very interesting, especially considering you are already aware of the culture war.

If you want to read a smart book on the subject of the (possibly) coming culture war, pick up Sam Huntington's "The Clash of Civilizations". I don't know if I agree with it but it's a classic. Stay away from blowhard opinions like O'Reilly's if you want to be able to form your own.

Have you read Huntington? He thinks about culture in the broadest possible terms: Western vs. Eastern cultures, Americans vs. immigrants. He's maybe the most famous conservative political scientist, and he's a xenophobe. Maybe you saw that he teaches at Harvard and your hackles raised, deriving you of rational investigative thought, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I may not agree with Huntington, but he does real research. He's a political scientist, for fvcks sake!

In your house, you have your rules. You can give work to a gardner, a maid, an accountant, etc. But you can also deny it. You can lock your door and say, "no thankyou". Let's say you let them in, a visitor, or worker, whatever. Then suddenly you can't do something you and your family has done for a long time, because the visitors feel insulted? And now you have to stop doing your thing AND instead do something of their liking?

Mexicans going into the border and not having the least respect for the US. I mean, they were demonstrating in the streets cursing in spanish. They don't know English for gods sake. They should be grateful.

Did you know that the new border wall that the US will build is called "the wall of shame" (nothing to do with the jewish)!!! What's the shame? Shame on Mexico for not having jobs! Go Arnold.

Yes, you have your facts straight. I much prefer a fair and balanced presentation of facts to a one-sided vomiting of opinions.

I don't understand how a bestseller, edited but not reviewed by ANYONE, is fair and balanced, but a peer-reviewed book that came out of one of the most rigorous (and conservative) political journals, Foreign Affairs, is a "one-sided vomiting of opinions." Foreign Affairs gave the US the policy of Soviet containment. Neocons like Kagan and Fukuyama are regularly published there. Old-school cons like Kennan (the guy who practically invented America's policy during the Cold War) were published there. I don't think you have the measure of Sam Huntington.

I also don't think you have to be the "furthest left-of-center" to appreciate multiculturalism.

He meant reviewed as in "peer-reviewed", like work submitted to academic journals is. Obviously, O'Reilly's book could not be reviewed in this way, as it's not an academic book, but then, that might be a tell as to the quality of the author's analysis.
