Numb Tongue???

The left tip of my tongue has been numb since Wednesday or Thursday morning...I lost track...but it's been a few days.

I can eat fine, and everything is cool, but it just feels really weird like there's a small piece of tape stuck to it. Or like it was burnt and hasn't healed in a while. But I never ate anything really hot. The only possibility I can think of is that maybe I bit on my own tongue really severely in my sleep and caused nerve damage?

I'm not too worried, but it is weird and has never happened before. I haven't been sexually active in a couple of months so I doubt I've got anything in that regards unless I got it a while ago and it's just showing signs now?

Still, when I look in the mirror, there is nothing visibly different with that part of my tongue, it's just how it feels.

Anyone else get something like this before?

nah, I've never had a stroke or anything...I'm only 21 (turn 22 in June)

As I read more and more about it through google, it makes me more worried because there seems to be lots of disease with that same symptom, ie, Syphalis!!!!?? MS???!! Anemia??

I really am starting to get worried. I mean, I wasn't worried before, but I am now.

Or Liver or Kidney Infections???

did you burn your tongue at all?
no, and that's the weird part.

I just woke up in the morning with the tip of my tongue feeling numb. I seriously hope this isn't MS or syphalis or something bad. I'll go see a neurologist asap.

^Self-Mastery, what did you mean by "stroke"? Is it possible to have one in your sleep?

Also, it may be noteworthy to mention that about a week earlier, after I got home from work I got really dizzy and felt like I was going blind. The sunlight was really intense and I could barely see. I was feeling so weird that when I was cooking something in the microwave, rather than stop the time and open the door, I just opened the microwave door. I'd never do that normally, and I was surprised at how 'out of it' I was. It felt like I was falling over when I walked. Later I concluded that I may have been dehydrated. Or it could be related to this, who knows...or could that be a stroke? My head also hurt really bad during that experience and I had trouble breathing.

but the numb tongue just happened a few days ago, on - I'm pretty sure since Thursday morning.
