What is "woke" mean to the majority? I thought it meant being aware of the agendas and programming and remaining aware and vigilant and not following the herds.
"Woke" means you are hyper-sensitive to the injustice of society, and the various microaggressions construed as real injustice, particularly against those who belong to a victimhood group or intersectional victimhood group. It means that you offer greater legitimacy to the viewpoints, opinions and behaviors of those who belong to an intersectional victimhood group over those who do not.
For instance, a black gay Muslim transexual's opinions will carry greater weight when expressed publicly in the media -- not by the merit of that opinion, but by the intersectional identity of the individual voicing it. The more victimhood groups you belong to, the greater legitimacy your opinions have. Indeed, the opinion can itself be problematic or bigoted, but is nevertheless acceptable. Criticism of the viewpoint is an act of bigotry against his (her) victimhood group(s).
One prominent instance of this was how criticism of Obama's presidency was frequently rebutted by his supporters as racism.
In another prominent instance, it is politically acceptable for BLM protestors to riot, loot, destroy property, and assault police officers. Similar behavior is not acceptable for pro-Trumpers.
The inherent rebuttal of taking issue with violent BLM activism is that you take issue with the self-evident truth of the statement "black lives matter." That accusation of racism is then used to silence any opposition or dissent to BLM.
Wokeness also seeks to force the visibility of once marginalized groups into mainstream society by normalizing them and celebrating them. Men who chop their d!cks off and get fake tits are celebrated, while viewing this as aberrant and bizarre behavior resulting from a psychiatric disorder (gender dysphoria) is condemned as bigotry.
Wokeness is rooted in the necessary vigilance against real racism and bigotry, but extends it far beyond what is reasonable and rational to performative activism (done to increase one's social standing).
