Oh wow. Yeah, the US is really in danger of being overpopulated.

We're actually one of the more underpopulated countries in the world. Only about 3% of the country is developed (this doesn't, I believe, include farmland). We've got plenty of room.

With current technology, we can support 10 billion people on the planet. By the time we get to 10 billion, technology likely will have progressed. Seriously, why don't you focus on the matter at hand: this one guy and the problem he faces, and leave the rant about overpopulation to the anything else forum.

No, my advice is that IF a man doesn't want to be responsible for a child that results from him having sex then he should refrain from having sex.

Furthermore, if a man is one of the two people who caused a pregnancy then it is just as much HIS responsibility as it is the woman's. He KNEW the risk when he had sex...period.

And again...your initial post in this thread advised him to PRESSURE, TRICK, LIE TO and MISLEAD the woman. It's not harsh saying that because that IS exactly what you told him to do.

Not all women are miserable and hateful to deal with regarding child support, visitation and all that stuff. I deal with my ex husband of 10 years and my 4 year old's father. My ex husband is a moron who feels compelled to behave like a miserable pr*ck...filing motions in court that are frivolous and stupid, which causes constant fighting. However, it's completely opposite with my youngest's father. We get along fine and have never had any problems whatsoever. This is a perfect example of guys creating their own circumstance...which is a common thing. The attitude you are suggesting him to take isn't going to cause her to get an abortion. What it will cause, however, is deep resentment and animosity that will cause the next 18 years of his life to be a living hell.

Again...if you want a guarantee of not becoming a father against your will then either don't have sex or get a vasectomy. People need to take responsibility for their own sexual behavior and choices, and there is simply NO way to argue that fact and be rational.

The thing is, it sounds like neither of you will be able to support this child and give it fair opportunities in life.
My advice is to put it up for adoption after it is born. Your girl should be ok with that, since it is logical. There is no way in hell that a pregnant girl with no job etc, and her guy who barely has the means to pay his own rent can raise a kid in today's dog eat dog world.
The best course of action would be to give it to someone who can.

The only "social conditioning" instilled in me by anyone else was regarding drugs by my parents. They also taught me to work hard and be responsible for my own choices in life. My views are my own and influenced only by my own opinions.

I also think pedophiles should be castrated and locked up for the rest of their lives.

And frankly, any woman who didn't learn the importance of using TWO methods of birth control to avoid pregnancy after one unnecessary abortion obviously isn't responsible enough to be a parent anyway. Normally I am opposed to forced medication and the like, but this particular issue REALLY chafes my butt. Sexually irresponsible people thoroughly disgust me.

I was married for 10 years and had 3 kids with my ex husband. I divorced him because he turned out to be a woman beating drunk with Borderline Personality Disorder.

In my entire life I had ONE casual fling. We used birth control and it failed. I became pregnant and as is obvious by my posts in this thread there is no way in hell I would ever consider an abortion. I'm not with my 4 year old's father because we are not compatible for a relationship. It would never work and even though he would have gladly had a relationship with me...I didn't want that. We get along just fine as parents and our daughter wants for nothing. She is loved by both of us as well as her extended family on both sides.

Here you are telling this guy to get an abortion. Well, seeing as he isn't the one who is pregnant it's impossible for him to do that. The girl has already told him she won't get an abortion, so he's going to be a father whether he likes it or not. If he pressures her to abort the baby it's going to make her resent him and hold onto deep anger from now on. That will affect her behavior towards him regarding child support and visitation. But hey...if he wants to listen to you "pressure her to abort" boneheads and end up having a bitter ex hell bent on getting the maximum child support instead of what is fair to him...all the more power to him.

Oh...and I find it both hilarious and ironic that someone who uses "stupidest" rather than "most stupid" deems themself to be intellectually superior to someone who actually knows how to write proper English.
