I'm almost positive I did the right thing here, but I just wanted to confirm. I think I passed a wuss test tonight.

Due to circumstances, I was at Carl's Jr with a group of people, and ended up saying rather loudly, "No, I'm not sitting on ANYBODY's lap" (referring to two guy friends). It got kind of quiet, and then from across the way a little bit, a cute girl, (who inadvertantly made me quit drugs and never knew, but otherwise isn't high on my list of people I like right now, although that could change easily) says, all sweetly, "Will you sit on MY lap?"

I look at her for a second, with everybody watching...Then yell, "NO!"

That WAS what I was supposed to do, right?

Well, you sitting on a girls lap, thats kinda wierd. Maybe if she asked if she could sit on your lap..

yeh that was alright, sounds like you had no trouble saying what was on ya mind which is cool but personally if it was me i woulda said "Nah that'd be lame you come sit on my lap" or sumthin like that. so in conclusion you didnt do nuthin wrong but could done more right.

No wait, don't try to explain how you said it, just tell me this: how did everyone react? What happened next? If everyone was laughing (the girl included), you did it right, if everyone went silent then... you made a mistake.

Everyone kind of started laughing and resumed conversation after I said "NO", so I guess so.

A friend pointed out to me that I should have added something in about her coming over and sitting in my lap too, but I realized that since I was yelling NO, it would be kind of wierd. "NO...But you can come over here and sit in mine."...Actually...Dang it.
