I know I have read over and over again from dating "experts" and others that after you establish eye contact with a woman, NEVER LOOK DOWN since as a male is signifies SUBMISSIVENESS and PASSIVENESS.

Well I think they have a point....

I went for running today and the last mile I walked (this was in a Reservoir through the woods).

Along comes an HB8 tall brunette (late 20's) walking with an older woman.

I make a point to look right in the eye and say hi as she walks by.

She smiles and shyly LOOKED DOWN after are eyes met.

Her looking down made her seem PASSIVE AND SUBMISSIVE, which are ATTRACTIVE traits to have as a woman, and it made me feel DOMINANT.

Now, let's reverse the role.

You make eye contact with a girl and then YOU look down.

Again, a sign of submissiveness, inferiority, intimidation and passiveness.

NOT MASCULINE TRAITS and it will turn her off.

So.......

For God's sake and I know it is easier said than done.

Let her look away or look down FIRST!

I'm trying to get better at this. I've made it a goal to never be the one to look away first. It is a habit for me to look away and unless I'm conscious of what I'm doing I revert back to looking away. I've gotten some possible IOI's just from holding that gaze, but it could just be general friendliness. I think the main thing is being personable.

Try not to just like stare. That's a bit creepy. Try and like catch glances, if you know what I mean, and smile and if possible you might as well wave. I'm trying this right now and I've gotten some positive feed back.

I don't think I described it well. I'm pretty much doing what you described. I'm not staring people down. It is a couple seconds at most.
