From a prophecy point of view I always remember what I heard father Wingate from trumpeter's mission say a couple years ago in a radio interview. It has always stayed with me. He spoke of the coming food/race riots but what really got me was that he said the united states would be attacked once it was involved in 3 wars at the same time.

Another war would really stretch our military thin which is what would lead to an attack by our enemies.
I wonder how much of a possibility that is.

Right now we have troops in Iraq and Afghanistan but I don't really consider that a war. If Ahmadinejad does something crazy we might have a war with Iran. Same thing could happen with North Korea. In a worst case scenario we could have a two front war with possible nuclear implications.

If somethign like that happened it would be WWIII

Get some perspective man. Make every moment count by ignoring this stuff.
I do have perspective. You can live in a dream world and believe you will live forever, or you can come to grips with the fact that one day you will die and learn to make every day count.

What the **** is stopping America/allied nations from just invading those ****ers and wiping out the government? North Korea is nothing but a fugly leech and it annoys me how such an AFC is toying with everyone else, asking for food and crap. WTF?!

My point about perspective is that you seem to be equating the nuclear threat from N. Korea to the Cold War.

There are significant differences between the two, enough that the threat of Armageddon is not possible with the N. Korea situation.

The next time you hear this kind of bad news from the media, will you think it's likely to happen?

Some news is important, others not so much. Some things are important & significant enough to your quality of life to do something about. Others, not so much.

My first impression when you brought this up was fear mongering. You're right, you should come to terms with the fact that you will die in the future. However, between now and then, if something were to affect your quality of life, would you not do something about it? Conversely, you hear something like this, will you think it will affect your life?

Because they don't want to get embroiled in a war they really have no interest in. N. Korea could be worse than Iraq and A-stan. That's a country full of brainwashed people and rough, mountainous terrain.

Oh, any invasion or squashing of N. Korea would run up against their nominal Chinese allies. China won't nuke anybody for N. Korea but they will do something if N. Korea is about to be squashed.

North Korea is about as big of a nuclear threat as Saddam was. Ie it only existed in the minds of dumb people (neocons in particular).

They've been friends since before the Korean war. It was actually Chinese reinforcements that forced the UN forces back to the present day border during the Korean War.

For an interesting read check out the history of the Korean War on Wikipedia

Apparently that war and it's current aftermath we are dealing with now is the fault of the Japanese the Chinese, the Soviets and the United States...

I don't think I actually learned anything about the Korean war back in HS.
