I thought she was attractive and made that known in my first messages. I got advice from here to keep texting very minimal but since it would still be a few months before school reopens I decided to go for it.

We text about 4 in 5 or 6 days on WhatsApp and Snapchat. Flirting most of the times especially on snap. She replies messages almost immediately or less than 2 minutes. I eventually told her I think I'm developing feelings for you on Snap to which she says I really like you too. We keep flirting, sending vns and all even late at night till I saw this viral tweet . She posted it on her WhatsApp status with a laughing emoji two days after I had seen it.

I got kind of pissed lol and I'm yet to text her since then. It's been 10 days + now without her texting too so I guess our fun little experiment is over

Also you never express to a woman that you have any feelings for her at least until she expresses that she has feelings for you.

So based on what I've read, from your idealization of her to getting emotionally invested in her, it sounds like you have some work to do on yourself. Perhaps you should be doing things in real life meeting real people and learning to have a lot more respect for yourself.
