well, my 24th bday was this year and i have yet to grow anything more than a small mustache on my upper lip and and a small patch on the top of my chin. I was hoping that i could get a actual beard started on my face but it doesnt want to seem to grow in.
Now im 24 and i cant say that puberty is still working so i dont know what the problem is. If anyone knows of any "techniques" or have any type of suggestions that would help me grow some actual facial hair on my face then just this grain of hair im left with. thanks in advance.

I kind of have the same problem. I grow facial hair but it isn't full facial hair. If I go two weeks without shaving I look like one of those kids trying desperatly to look older.

I can't grow much more than side burns or a goat and I'm 23... facial hair is overrated anyway (and shaving is a pain in the ass).

I'm 19 and have no sideburns. I can grow my facial hair (the classic "pirate" style) for about three days before the jig is up and I'm exposed as a 12-year-old boy.

That's why you invest $150 in a Remington Titanium Self-cleaning shaving system. It pays for itself, and it's a lot easier than buying pack after pack of blades.

As for growing hair, it's genetic. Either you grow it or you don't - there's really nothing you can do about it. I'm with everyone else though in wishing that I had your "problem".

Depends on the shape of your head...if you have a round face they look kind of dumb IMO. Also don't try to grow one if you can't grow facial hair quickly in the first place, or if it grows in uneven. I knew a guy who tried to grow one of those chinstrap goatees on his chin, but it didn't really grow in the very middle, so it looked like he had 2 mini-straps on the sides of his chin. He didn't try to trim them to make it look more even, either. I wanted to tell him that it looked terrible so bad...

I don't think it's a big deal. I just like to change up my look on occassion. It would be cool if I could be clean shaven one day and then have facial hair or a five o'clock shadow the next.

My baby said if ever I got rid of my facial hair, she'd get rid of me. :p (seriously though)

But don't worry mate, if you haven't got a beard you haven't - your look is clean-shaven, and people who like that look will be attracted to you. Don't worry at all.

Are you suggesting that some men simply don't grow facial beards? Ever? I've got my fingers crossed, as I'm young, but I've always seen the ability to grow a full beard part of manhood.

Seems like both groups will be jealous of the other - but to me it seems that if you can grow a beard, you can shave and so at least have the option of facial hair or not where as you have no choice if you can't grow one.

As for how to grow a beard, what do you expect? Rogaine for your face? I've heard anectdotal evidence that working out raises your testosterone and encourages facial hair growth, but I'm not sure if it's accurate. Either way, you have nothing to lose by lifting.

Incidentally, I would have loved to have had your genes when I was in the army, Daven. I had to close shave every fricking day.

I started growing more facial hair when I started bulking up. Seriously. The rise in testorosteron levels even made my face slightly more manly as a whole. Gotta love those weights :D

My facial hair has been growing more quickly since I started lifting 4 or 5 months ago...but then again I'm at an age where I should be growing facial hair more quickly, anyway...so I don't know how much of an effect lifting has...
