I started hitting the gym hard about a month ago. Progress was going well. I could definately see quick results, but lately I have absolutely no energy. I don't feel like I've been getting a good workout at all and it's frustrating to the point where I took a break.

Now, I feel all flabby and unmotivated. Is there a good supplement I could take before I go to work out that would give me a boost of energy so I could actually finish a workout?

Some said it could be my diet which I believe to be true. I cut down on bad carbs and loaded up on vegetables, but totally forgot that I needed to add beans to the meals so I could get my calories. I was basically doing vegetables and chicken and not a whole lot of it.

I've heard of Ripped Fuel, amongst other things. What are your ideas?

Fix your diet before thinking about supplements: try milk.

Cut down the weight slightly on the exercises, and start building the weight again.

Ive been taking NO Xplode, and it is great. Gives me tons of energy, and makes exercise feel so much easier that i have to force myself to stop.

Are you going to failure or near failure on every set? My gains got much better when i stopped doing that and only got close to failure on the last set. If my goal is 8 reps in a set my sets look like this now after someone brought it to my attention:

185x8, 185x8, 185x9. (purposely stopping at 8 on the first two sets even if i can do more)
Then next week might be: 190x8, 190x8, 190x7

Before the 185 set would look like this (with more weight because above i'm only really trying to get 8+ reps on the last set, whereas here i was trying to get 8 full out on the first set..and 2nd... and 3rd)

195x8, 195x5, 195x3 (as many as i could every set)

I was neurally burned out all the time and the increases were slow, if any. Now i add weight and/or reps every time with the same diet.

I really have no idea if it's optimal, but 2-3 sets full out wasn't working for me much at all. Even taking a week off, I'd quickly hit a wall again because I'd deplete my nervous system all over again.

I've taken No Xplode before, and you're absolutely right. I had amazing energy. I was literally a beast, but I didn't see any gains. Then again, I had already been on a different type of creatine and probably needed to cycle off before I started up with No Xplode.

Eitherway, I'll pick up a tub today and go at it again tomorrow to see what happens. Thanks.
