From what I understand, a player is someone who leads a girl to believe that she's his one and only, when, in fact, he bangs other girls and hides it/lies about it. However, I contribute playerism to having sex with multiples just for kicks, regardless whether someone has an actual girlfriend or just **** buddies. To be a player, by my definition, is to not take sex seriously.

Keeping in mind the ever-increasing risk of STD's, pregnancy, etc... yes, it does matter.
