damn never knew so many people were into that Rap/Trance combo, that **** describes me so well. I mean I listen to all types of music, theres always something good for every occasion.

But when im speeding in my benz nothing beats bumping loud rap or trance while feeling the rush of air against my face, while the sun is bright and the air is crisp, days like that make me so ****ing happy that im alive.

Here you go labelling stuff as 'DJ' or 'AFC' again. I hate labels.
I listen to rap (although none of that Chingy, Lil' Jon, P. Diddy crap, I go with Aesop Rock, Cannibal Ox, Beastie Boys, El-P, Deltron 3030, RJD2 etc.), black/folk/viking metal, hard rock etc. And a lot of other genres, I like Miles Davis, Asian Dub Foundation etc.

lol, what the hell is Viking Metal? I picture a bunch of vikings aboard a ship thrashing away on electric guitars and screaming incomprehensible lyrics about tales of the high seas.

Actually it's freaking awesome. And your depiction is not far from the truth, hehe. Imagine majestic and epic norse melodies with devastating guitar riffs accompanied by traditional norse instruments and mad vocals. Prime example song: Thyrfing - Mjölner. Bands like Thyrfing, Asmegin, Einherjer, Finntroll, Falkenbach, Skyforger, Turisas, Mithotyn etc. rock the house.

Exactly where I want to be.
This thread makes me think about my previous tastes in music...

Before I came to this site, I listend almost exclusively to that pop-punk stuff. After being on the site for a while, I turned to rap. Then I turned to hippy music.

Now I listen to Incubus, Primus, and The Music.

It's like I went from "kiddish" stuff to thug music to lazy music to whatever genre this is. I detest rap for the most part, rarely listen to pop-punk, and got more turned on to rock and such. Oddly enough, the difference in music phases correspond to my differences in frame of mind (i.e. immature to border-line ******* to chilled).

I'm not saying I totally agree with the "AFCs listen to this kind of music, DJs listen to this kind" thing, I just thought it was interesting to note this particular correlation.

it's as simple as not letting music control your thoughts. don't listen to freakin ***** soft music when your already feeling down, or it'll pull you down more.
