Background: I'm 25 years old, got out of an on-again-off-again relationship of 4 years back in December. Graduated with my masters in May, so women were the last thing on my mind while job hunting and trying to make grades. Since May I've graduated, and am still unemployed.
Disclaimer: When we met she was considering moving here for good, but due to some circumstances, shes now moving away August 1st. I move out of town most likely on August 15th.
Anyways, I met this 23yr old HB 8.5 through Tinder who had just moved to town to possibly pursue her law degree. I chatted her up and have since seen her 4 times, but the first 3 were brief, spontaneous outings. As this was the first girl I actually connected with since my ex, I moved a bit slower than I typically do and didn't kiss-close until our last, and first "real" date. I walked away from that date blown away by her. It was legitimately one of the best dates I've ever been on as shes much smarter than any girl I've ever dated, probably the most attractive. Sexual tension was in the air and conversation, but she had a meeting to attend(long story), so while kissing I pushed her away slightly and said "Go to your meeting, we'll continue this later."
Two days later I text back and forth with her and suggest we meet up sometime this week. She responds "ummm id absolutely love to do that sometime this week. We will make it happen." I texted her the next day trying to set up specifics, no response. Two days later I texted her once bringing up a joke from our last date. No response.
I'm not sure if it's a lost cause, especially because of how well our last date went. I'm not looking to date this girl long-distance or anything, I would just like some input on maybe where I went wrong, or how to spark the flame again with such a short timeline?
My gut says to just call her and act like nothing happened if she answers and ask her out at the end. If she doesn't answer, let it go. Shes also go an important celebration coming up on the 7th that she would really appreciate me remembering(a 5 minute congratulations-sketch as I'm an artist wouldn't be hard?), but by then its been 2 weeks since we saw one another and only 3 weeks til she leaves town..
Thoughts?
