Master Don Juan
Blech, studying is over-rated. Unless you've got a class that consistently wants you to hand in homework, don't bother. Study for tests and you'll be fine. Hell, this last semester I used $300 worth of books a grand total of two times. Notes do the dirty work.
As I-am said, get smarter. Watch the Discovery Channel sometimes; read a newspaper. You might be surprised (or at least I was) about how many things you can read about in the news or in historic news will be taught in a class. There's no better feeling than sitting in a classroom, have the instructor say "Today we're going to cover ... " and remember having read/watched something about the topic beforehand. It's like being steps upon steps ahead of what you should know.
Uhm...Knowledge is power...? 'Kay.
