This is a technique I saw a buddy of mine try on a girl, he had spoken to her before and this was their second encounter, they were talking for a bit, then in front of everybody, even her friends, he just says "you know something, I like you, you're pretty awesome lets go out sometime" for a second I felt embarassed for him but she really warmed up to him and he got her #, now I wasnt sure if this was an exception, have any of you tried doing this before, just laying all the cards on the table confidently like that?

I think it is impolite to give out her number knowing that she is going to blow the guy off. I would rather here NO I don't like you UGLY GUY

Women shouldn't feel obligated to give out their number just because they are too coward or kind to let a guy know that he isn't her type.

OP/OT: that can and does work. One of my buddies did that on graduation day of HS and he ended up dating the girl for 2 years, but she dumped him because he was a loser
