So I'll try to make my story as short as possible...
I'm currently 20 (21 in 2 months) and in college in what should be the best years of my life. Well, sadly, they're not. I haven't done anything more than make out with a girl in almost a year now. And even before, I have only gone past making out with 4 girls in the last 2 years (only one in the last 18 months). I've only had one steady girlfriend ever, and did seal that deal back then, but haven't had sex since I broke up with her.
I was a constant reader and poster here during my first two years in high school, but back then I wasn't all that social so it never translated into success. During the year I dated that one girl, i think I reverted back to total AFC (not that I ever wasn't one). The main problem I seem to have is talking to girls and creating interest. Once I'm on a date I'm not shy about moving in, but getting the date is the challenge, or getting girls to think of me like that. Most of the girls I've made out with or done anything more have been either introduced by friends, or I actually met on facebook and talked them up online first. You can see how this would really be a problem at parties in college, since I seem to fail even with the drunk girls![Frown :( :(](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Well, I am now doing summer school, and two of my roommates this summer are really good at getting girls. Of coarse I played it off as if I'm somewhat decent too. But they were talking a couple of days ago, and somehow started talking about Neil Strauss' "The Game." They recommended I read it, so I got it and I'm reading it.
I'm about 1/3 through, and reading it kinda helped me identify some things I have been doing wrong. But it also made me want to come back here since I remember this being a great site, and a lot of that stuff overlaps with stuff on the DJ Bible. So I'm coming back here for advice....as of now I'm thinking I'll try out some stuff off that book (I know, I won't say the same lines word by word b/c of the TV shows, but the general principles). But I guess I wanted the opinions of some people here on my situation. Keep reading the book and apply it, or what would be better? I also considered buying Mystery's Magic Bullet Handbook, but I'm skeptical that there's anything there that's not in one way or another in the bible here.
And just a couple of notes. I don't lack confidence in myself, only in my game. I'm in good shape and well groomed, and I'm not shy about talking to strangers, so I'm really not that far off...I just need to be able to create interest from girls.
