How is it going, fellow DJs? I have been having some depression in the last few weeks, not women related, just life in general and the situations I am in. Today, I have decided that I want to change it now. If I were to continue like this, I would be a fulltime loser in no time.

I need to learn some new skills to broaden my knowledge. I am going to take some random classes just to see what's out there. I have also played around with photography, art, etc., but haven't gotten too far to actually hang out with the crowds. Out of all that I have tried, none of them seem to have "clicked" on me. So, I need some new ideas what are skills that would be the most interesting, affordable, useful and are still accessible by someone living and working fulltime in the city (Los Angeles) like me.

Thanks a bunch.

Set goals for yourself, improve yourself so that you are investing your time, not spending it. Ask yourself- who do I want to be in 6 months? Who do I want to be in one year? 5 years? 10 years? Imagine the best you possible, the ideal you. Then set your goals to get there. Embrace the ideal you, fullfill your dreams.

Give me a store clerk with goals, and I'll show you a man who'll make history. Give me a man with no goals, and I'll show you a storeclerk.

That's inspiring. I have never thought of "investing" my time. Thanks!

Now, the ideal me would be owning my own boat. Well, I don't have a boat, neither the money to buy one and keep it in the marina.

Until then...shall I not be doing something else?

As the phrase goes: if it floats, flys, or f-ucks- you're better off renting.

As for what you want to do, that's up to you! Take sailing lessons? Work on a cruise liner? The limits of your life are defined by the limits of your imagination. Start imagining, and then get to work!

Great idea Amante.. i could actually go for some volunteering myself the way you put it!

My suggestion would be getting into shape if you haven't already. Aside from being/feeling more attractive.. having/exuding more energy.. being all around healthier and possessing more stamina for the day, and respect for your body, the chemicals that it produces are just great!! You can get a lot more testosterone from increasing your muscle structure, and the endorfines that are produced from a solid workout... powerful stuff.

Doesn't have to be a really big time investment, but it's one of the best you can do for yourself atleast.

Also do you read much?

Dude, why not take up sports of some sort? Team sports are ideal

Competition is good, you make a lot of friends. Joina team that plays social basketball or something.
