Quite possibly the single most destructive and counterproductive thing you can do to yourself, in the field of seduction or any other field, is give up before reaching your goal and settle for less. In fact, the only other thing i can think of that can have a more negative effect on the outcome of any undertaking is not having a firm goal in the first place, and going through life alongside billions of people with similar mindsets, who merely accept that which is offered to them. According to studies, these people make up about 98-99% of the population in the USA, and logically, that percentage is even higher in underdeveloped countries. But that's a whole other discussion, which i'll save for another time.
As i was saying, the reason most people are failures is because they either lack the courage and desire to set high yet realistic goals and create plans by which those goals will be attained, or because they lack the persistance and determination to see those plans through, give up when they're met with temporary defeat, and settle for what's available. We see these people every day. All you have to do is open your eyes and you'll spot dozens, or even hundreds of these people within an hour of leaving your house. In a nutshell, these are people who are dissatisfied with any aspect of their lives and aren't actively working towards achieving satisfaction with that aspect. Examples:
- any person who failed to get in shape and gave up
- any person who failed to become wealthy and gave up
- any person who failed to seduce someone and gave up
The fact you're reading this proves that you know there are things about seduction you have yet to learn. Finding out what these things are is your goal, and by reading this very sentence, you are working on achieving it. Congratulations, as far as one area of life is concerned, you're in the top 1-2%. You may not be the pick up master you want to be yet, but if you follow the advice you're staring at right now, i promise that one day you will be! But there's more to life than sex. You should look into other areas of your life, including the other two i listed as examples (physical health and wealth) and do to them the same thing you're doing to seduction - figure out what it is that you want out of them, and get to work!
I don't know how long you've been reading this site, but if you're anywhere near where some of the prominent members around here are, you know that if you put enough effort into yourself to become the man that women desire, you will be able to have any woman you desire. It only makes sense, right? But have you ever tried explaining this to your AFC friends? I know i have, and failed miserably. Most other DJs i know personally have tried, and failed as well. In fact, if you were to go up to 100 men and tell them that if they truly want to, they can have any woman they want, 98-99 of them would think you're crazy, and 1-2 would nod in understanding. I'm here to tell you that it gets better. Not only can you have any woman you want, but you can have a body like the guys on magazine covers, or a financial statement like people you read about in Wall Street Journal. Do you think i'm crazy, or are you nodding in understanding?
Billions of people spend their lives searching for the magic cure. They spend their most precious asset, time, earning money in order to invest, and investing into things that they think will give them what they want with 'little or no effort.' They dump their life's savings into the big money scheme that should make them millionaires overnight. They buy a 250-dollar bottle of pills that should enlarge their penis by 6" and magically draw every gorgeous woman in a 10-mile radius in their direction. Or perhaps they order one of those stupid ab energizer belts that should give them rock-hard abs while they sleep. The first will end up broke, the second impotent, and the third fat. Why? Because there is no magic cure. The size of your goal is directly proportionate to the amount of work it will take to achieve it. Period.
So what do all these people have in common? They have all tried and given up when faced with temporary defeat! They tried dieting and failed because they didn't know how to diet properly to begin with. Or they tried picking up a girl and were laughed at because their approach was stupid. Or perhaps they started a business that went bust. In the end, they were all faced with temporary defeat, because temporary is what it is unless you're dead. And they all assumed that for some unknown reason, success in these areas simply isn't possible for them. They gave up and settled. Settled for the average body, settled for the thin wallet, settled for the ugly girlfriend. And out of utter desparation, are now staking their money and health against unmeasurable odds in hope that some clever scheme will grant them that which they couldn't achieve through realistic means.
What can we learn from these people in order to avoid joining the ranks of 98-99% of the six billion people that make up the world's population? We can learn that if we're still breathing, any defeat or setback we're faced with is only a speed bump on the road to success. If you wanted something, made a plan to get it and failed, your plan simply wasn't good enough. There is nothing wrong with YOU. You're not doomed to failure! You simply based your plans on faulty information and failed as a result. That may have had something to do with you taking investing advice from your friend who drives a '89 Taurus, or exercise advice from the 'professional bodybuilder' who wouldn't take his shirt off in public if his life depended on it. Go back, find better information, make new plans and start over. And keep trying until you succeed, because eventually, you will succeed. Never settle! Never give up!
