Thanks for the links to the shoes. I'm still resisting the wing tips and cap toes for dressy casual. Maybe it's the high gloss. Do you have any issues with the style of the shoes I posted (I hear you on the quality, that I'll address separately). The derbys aren't bad, I could probably roll in those, maybe in a darker color and a little less gloss, plus a bit more ornamentation.
The problem with those shoes you posted is that they're clunky-looking. There's nothing streamlined or refined about them. I know Sperry made a billion dollars with the Top-Sider, but I hate the way they look. It's a driving loafer; a lightweight shoe not designed to be walked in except in and out of the store. It's the equivalent in the fine-shoe world of wearing Vibrams.

I almost like the Rockports. But again, it's a loafer. I'd take it up a notch and get something with laces. But that's just me. You can do better for the money, but you can also do a lot worse.

Those Eccos should be killed with fire. Clunky, blocky, rubber-soled, square-toed (not quite, but so close that they still look horrible) and made of cheap leather that will flake off once it scuffs so they're basically irreparable.

Your reply shows that you're on the right track, though.

I am the wrong guy for that gig. I'm going on the road for six weeks starting this weekend, then the book comes out and the rest of the year will be book tours and speaking engagements.

I've already tossed out nearly everything I know and what works for me may not work for you. I'll give the occasional piece of advice, but there are plenty of others on here who know what I know. This stuff is fairly common knowledge.

I also have to encourage all my fellow mates on here struggling to understand what 'attraction' really is for women to notice a man, is laying the proper foundation even before you can exert your 'confidence' by talking to her. Women are just like men, human beings - and shallow as a 6' deep freshly dug grave. I have read somewhere that women can determine in 5 seconds just by looking at a man if she would have sex with him. Therefore, you must LEARN style in what you wear (not fashion, fashion is BS).

I am now 41 years old, but for first 38 years of my life - I lived like a typical American sheltered in our own ego-centric Americanized society never realizing that another world/culture exists beyond our somewhat arrogant view of the world of United States just because we are the most powerful nation. As a U.S. federal government employee, I was privileged to work overseas in Germany and now over 3 years in the United Kingdom. Did this experience OPEN my eyes for the first time, to how sh!tty American men have it in terms of style and dressing compared to the European men.

It is not any of our faults as Americans (if you are one) - our society as American men lack depth in culture when compared to the Europeans. No wonder beta fuccks are bred here more than anywhere else in the world. When you dress like sh!t as American men do, women of all culture/nationality will look at your jeans/sneakers combination and will never think twice about you. Guess what?? the beta mentality kicks in and you start the 'chase' just to get noticed.

My 4+ year stint here living in Europe has transformed myself as a man - I don't think I would have becoming a true DJ in full understanding if I didn't have the European ex-girlfriends (French, German, and British) that tells me the truth about how poorly styled the typical American man is. I learned to dress very ATTRACTIVE - the key word here is ATTRACTIVE. You don't need to be rich, as I am not because I am a divorced father and have child support to pay for as a lot of you would also understand. But knowing what to wear to ATTRACT women for that first 5 seconds is crucial state of playing your game right.

So I don't even think about wearing sneakers anymore - nor the faded light colored BAGGY RELAXED style jeans that American men think is so comfortable but is totally BETA fuccked wardrobe. Here are some recommendations from my experiences in transforming from a beta fuccked American to a now head-turning alpha fuccked messed up American living in Europe:

1) Look for non-manmade soles shoes: This means, look for shoes that has REAL leather soles on the bottom, or hybrid. REAL good shoes have REAL leather soles, not some beta fuccked looking fake rubber soles.

2) Have in your wardrobe, always a killer set of brown or dark tan colored wing-tipped oxfords. The true Italians always wear brown over black shoes - black shoes are only worn during night time or with formal attire. The killer wardrobe is a sexy (to women) brogued (The British term for wing-tip) brown oxfords with leather soles.

3) Look for shoes made in Italy or has unique features such as brogue (not the plain toe cap look). Doing some serious browsing through Amazon.com, where I buy over 50% of my shoes. You can get some killer Italian shoes at over half the price if you look long and hard. I have never paid over $100 for a pair of real leather soled Italian shoes, even some Hugo Boss oxfords. Some good brands are Ted Baker (mentioned earlier) that are absolutely stunning to women - they will salivate on command like Pavolov the *****h in heat for you. There's another brand on Amazon.com 'Area Forte' made in Italy shoes that are trendy and leather soled. I have a huge collection of 'Guess' boots, they are non-conventional and gives you extra height as well.

4) Invest in GOOD quality dark blue denim jeans with fine features in its appearance (not crap jean look). Some good names are Perry Ellis, but you can find higher end Levi jeans that have dark colored appearance of a cross between formal and informal. This pair of high quality jean will allow you to wear your wing-tip brogued brown oxfords and a sports jacket that will be a killer outfit anywhere at anytime.

5) Look for good sports jackets or blazers that FITs you well. Look for good winter coats that FITS you well - don't be the typical retarded American that buys one size larger to accomodate for some unknown Yeti-suit inside the coat. This is absurd. Women spend HOURS looking for coats/jackets that accentuates their body shape, so should you.

6) Have a good supply of argyle socks, with mixed dark brown and black colors that will complement all color of jeans and brown/black shoes. Match the color of your belt to the color of your shoes, but NOT the color of your socks to your shoes or else you will look like wearing boots.

7) Learn about COLOR complementing: This means NEVER wear two pieces of clothing next to each other of colors are too close alike but not identical. This is the worst look ever. Match similiar color together but have enough contrast to not look like a dork or man without style. When it comes to socks, sometimes you can go for a totally different colored socks to bring some zest into your personality.

8) Get a nice wool coat that will drape over you - one that you can wear outside of your sports jacket in the winter. Choose a non-black color, this way you can wear it to work or on the weekends. A properly fitted and draped wool coat an be a killer style statement.

9) GET ATTRACTIVE SHOES!! Shoes says so much about your style and taste - no wonder women fret over their own shoes even in their sleep. A good pair of POWER shoes will make you feel like a REAL Man and it will exert the confidence you need when you walk, without you even realizing it.

Good luck.

^^^ This.

And, for the dozenth time, key in on the difference, here, between ATTRACTING women and CHASING them.

I have three FB's right now -- I had four but I just let one go because my schedule wouldn't support it -- and I have a "part-timer" in a sorority back east who bangs my brains out when she's back here on break. Every one of these girls approached me first. Think about this: I get approached enough that I can pick out the types of girls I like. All but one is under 30. I have gray hair.

Clothes by themselves aren't going to attract women, but dressing well, whatever your style, is part (just one part) of the package that makes women approach you and initiate a relationship. This, by the way, is something that should be happening by this age; if it's not, you should be working on yourself and your life to get to the point where it does.

Boys chase girls. Girls chase men.

Cole Haan has really good shoes too. Hugo Boss great shoes, Bruno Magli too.

Ted Baker! I've got several dress shirts and a few ties by that designer. Hugo Boss Black shirts are good too. Ike Behar has some very nice stuff as well.

Fvck I love working in a high end dept store. Buy everything good on clearance, use coupon and employee discount. Plus meeting chicks in the store who shop there and hot co-worker chicks. It's no joke.

Trent_afc - you will have to get a feel of how much 'style' you can digest at this time and if you are comfortable wearing brogue/wing-tip oxfords. You must come to a point that you really feel passionate about wearing good looking shoes. I would recommend you start going to stores in person first to try on some fancier looking shoes and see how you feel about them before buying them online. I didn't quite like the brown colors you chose - brown color comes in so many shades and you must be careful to pick one that can be used in the most possible situations and look good at the same time:

Recommendations (personally own some of these):

Ted Baker Nenoi in dark brown, as sexy as it gets in British brogue
http://www.amazon.com/Ted-Baker-Mens-Nenoi-Oxford/dp/B008KK7EGK/ref=pd_sbs_shoe_10

Vince Camuto Men's Stresa Oxford, bought these recently and look nice for all occasions:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009XPGDHW/ref=oh_details_o03_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Bed Stu Men's Marquee Oxford, these are in olive green but they became my favorite pair of shoes for casual outgoing wear with dark color jeans
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007QSC78C/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Ted Baker Guri 7, I have this in suede and light brown color, my power shoes for attracting women
http://www.amazon.com/Ted-Baker-Gur...d=1389410114&sr=8-1&keywords=ted+baker+guri+7

BOSS Black by Hugo Boss Men's Metrios Oxford in brown, a step up in more formal occassion with a sports jacket or blazer
http://www.amazon.com/BOSS-Black-Hugo-Boss-Metrios/dp/B00B8Q3732/ref=pd_sbs_shoe_4

Area Forte oxford, this pair shoes a lot of nice details and seems highly promising (I own 3 pairs of other Area Forte similiar looking oxfords, all hand made Italian shoes with leather soles):

http://www.amazon.com/Area-Forte-Me...9410318&sr=1-25&keywords=area+forte+men+shoes

Again, I have paid less than $100 for each of these shoes - you have to be patient and look and keep looking when the price drops then go in for the kill.

Good luck.

Very good list, GotED?

Maybe it's my style, but I can never pull off brogue/wing-tip oxfords. I try them on and feel 10 years older. Some good options for the younger guys that want to mix casual with dress:

http://www.amazon.com/Kenneth-Cole-New-York-OnBrown9-5/dp/B00336FI00/ref=sr_1_8?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1389411362&sr=1-8&keywords=kenneth+cole+shoes

http://www.amazon.com/Jeans-Mens-Parry-Oxford-Black/dp/B008HOID6Y/ref=sr_1_79?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1389411261&sr=1-79&keywords=calvin+klein+shoes

http://www.amazon.com/CALVIN-KLEIN-Mens-Cecil-Charcoal/dp/B00BYQHC8M/ref=sr_1_205?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1389411316&sr=1-205&keywords=calvin+klein+shoes

Slim fit dress shirts should be your Go-To on weekend nights. Express makes some pretty good ones. Alfani isn't bad either if you take care of it.

http://www.express.com/clothing/Apparel/Dress+Shirts/cat1020001/facet/49002%3AModern

http://www1.macys.com/shop/mens-clothing/alfani-shirts?id=29417#!fn=MENS_PRODUCT_TYPE%3DDress%2520Shirts%26SHIRT_FIT%3DSlim%2520Fit%26sortBy%3DORIGINAL%26productsPerPage%3D40&!qvp=iqvp

For sport coats and blazers - GET IT TAILORED. $10 goes a long way.

Most people look crap in a polo. When in doubt, wear a button up. Also, don't be an idiot and wear a suit to a Friday night club.

Depends on what kind of face you have - if you look 5-10 years younger than your age, you would want to man-up a bit in your appearance, and opposite otherwise.

I am against square toed shoes as well, took me 38 years to figure this out. If you don't want to look like a duck or a witch (pointed toes) then stay clear of those shapes (style, not fashion as fashion won't last).

I must also emphasize one must strive to be in the best physical shape regardless of how styled you are. Attraction is a whole package, just as when you buy something in life. You are not going to buy a mini van just because it had a set of shiny ghetto wheels and tinted limo windows. Same as man whales to women's perception.

Lastly, WATCH THE MOVIE 'CRAZY STUPID LOVE' - this is the DJ movie of turning Beta fucck into at least a non-Beta fucck. Brian Goslin did a good job with his shoes - learn a bit from that movie, though it is mostly Hollywood. It can be at least inspiring - there's some truth to one line where Brian Goslin told the beta dude "Your wife cheated on you because somewhere along the line you lost your manhood".

Be the man that you can be the best potential to become.

Vince Camuto! Wow dude I was going to mention that designer! You're killing me with this sht! Reminding me of work. lol

Most definitely dudes need to up their style.

(Only issue is chicks then look at you as $$$ and it get's a little shaky when you dress well and get that feeling chicks are looking more at $$ to get with you. These chicks know what's up by clothing. Period.)

Elie Tahari has some good stuff. Some of his stuff is a little gayish though.

Check out Ike Behar as well. Very nice stuff for dress stuff.

Don't forget Cole Haan.

I've been telling dudes if they took a part time job in a high end department store they'd not only meet a lot of chicks but learn a shtload about style, high end stuff and be in the store to get first dibs on high end clothing etc. on clearance plus getting the coupons for extra PLUS getting an employee discount.

Hart Shaffer Marx has some really nice suits too.

There needs to be cologne updates in this thread (that's affordable)

Blu de Chanel by Chanel is great. Legend by Mont Blanc. One Million by Paco. Luna Rosa by Ferrigamo. Spice Bomb there's tons of great colognes out there too. (as for Green Irish Tweed and Eventus I'd get them from a high end reputable store. Expensive as hell but there's too many fakes etc. out there)

Gotta get a pocket watch too. A younger latin dude I work with got one. Sht looks awesome with his suit.

Youtube video on "how to" with many tie knots you may not have known about. Some are difficult as hell to do. If you pull them off with a great suit...most dudes will be asking you how you tied your tie and chicks WILL notice. I put in the main page as there's tons of different tie knots from different users demonstrating. Beginner to extremely difficult with skinny ties that are needed and all kinds of ties. Great info.

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=tie+knot+styles&sm=3

This dude has TONS of subscribers and video demonstrations of how to tie some sick tie knots.

https://www.youtube.com/user/alexKrasny/videos

Don't sleep on the Real Men Real Style tips video site. Besides just getting great clothes the tips on how to wear them, rolling your sleeves, what to wear with what are great. No joke.

Same thing with the Alex Krasny tie knot videos. Unique rarely seen tie knots. Tons of them in how to demonstrations for great interest by people and conversation pieces.

And the Mantic59 shaving tips, how to's, what to get etc. is really good stuff. The real way to shave. Much more than just "shaving" the way most dudes normally do.

If this store is in your area, check out suitsupply:

www.suitsupply.com

I tried on about 10 different suits before I bought a grey Napoli from here and I absolutely love it. They have many different suit cuts, depending on your individual style, which you can try. The fabric is very good quality; they also have in-store tailoring (can get your clothes the same day, depending on time), and really helpful staff that will help you get everything you want. They are a little pricey, but if you take care of your clothes and don't get fat, they should last you awhile. They also have a large collection of ties, pocket squares, etc.

No. Square-toed Kenneth Coles = BAD SHOES.

Women see your shoes as an IQ test, and if you bought these, you failed.

Those CK's you linked to are borderline.

A beginner's rule for shoes should be:

IF A COMPANY PRIMARILY MAKES ANYTHING OTHER THAN SHOES, DON'T BUY THEIR SHOES.

You can't lose with this rule.

This eradicates Dockers, CK, and Kenneth Cole -- the 3 most egregious offenders -- and holds true for anyone else I can think of outside of Nordstrom and Brooks Brothers. (Nordstrom shoes are built by J&M at their factory in Italy, and the really fine ones are made by Sasseti; BB's are handmade by Peal & Co. in England, which is why you're paying $650 a pair. But then, if you're wearing BB shoes, you know what the hell you're doing and don't need to be reading this thread.)

Yes, and no. Again, you're not trying to convince them that you have a private island and a fueled jet waiting. That way lies heartache; no one likes feeling duped.

But a woman likes to know that you can do well with the money you have. How you dress yourself has a lot to do with your resourcefulness -- what you can do with what you've got. Women like to be seen with a man who dresses well, and the right clothes (for you, whatever that means) not only set you apart but make you approachable.

I have to agree wholeheartedly with Pierce_r on this. I have personally purchased in the past 2 years, many pairs of Calvin Klein shoes/boots and they are not even worth $20 yet selling for over $75-$100 retail!! They are poorly made in China (not all are poorly made from China though, even Boss Hugo has them made in China) and the gluing job is left little to be desired where the leather upper is glued like a 2nd grader's pre-school job to the sole of the shoes.

Kenneth Cole is also over-priced and duck feet shoes with beta fuccked man made soles.

Dockers - nope: you are definitely a beta fuccked American still wearing beta fuccked manmade soles.

(I personally can not tolerate Rockport, Bostonian, or Stacy Adams much, but if you are tight on money, then you must do with what you can, not being judgemental).

Suprisingly, I have had really good experience with Guess boots. They are solid and reliable so far.

I was raised by my parents as money pinching cheap-arse shopper, bought only what was on clearance and not care about the 'fit' or style. I used to have a rule to spend no more than $20 on shoes and $10 on shirts. Now I realize how beta-fuccked I was for almost a quarter of a decade, and I have no gripe spending $50-$100 on a pair of really sexy shoes that will turn women's heads. Stop drinking, smoking, getting paid whoores and spend that money on something nice for yourself to wear - sometimes it is called self-love, something we beta-fucckkers need to realize and treat ourselves instead of the princess in another castle.

Since someone mentioned Cologne. I am having good luck with D&G Light Blue. Every time I wear it, women stop and smell me :p

No. Square-toed Kenneth Coles = BAD SHOES.

Women see your shoes as an IQ test, and if you bought these, you failed.

Holy Moly. I didn't realize they were square toed, the buckle was a tease. I agree, square toed shoes are repulsive.

Everyone has their own opinion as far as Quality vs. Quantity. At this moment, I am not as concerned with the construction as I am with the style and my budget. I'd rather have (10) $100 pair shoes than (5) $200 pair shoes, given dollars to quality are consistent. The cheaper ones wear out faster, yes. However, with the rotation, you can minimize that gap.

The man makes the clothing...

I shop mainly at Burlington Coat Factory and the Goodwill. I buy occasionally from Macy's when they have excellent sales. Most of my suits cost about $100, I try to spend no more than $15 on dress shirts, no more than $15 on slacks, casual shirts no more than $10, jeans no more than $10, no more than $25 on shoes, and no more than $100 on Invicta watches.

I'm cheap as **** but look like I'm worth so much more.
How does Burlington compare to Ross/Marshalls? Do they carry similar designer out-of-season apparel?

Sure, treat yourself and don't waste money on bad habits. However, I still don't understand why people pay $10 for a pair of CK boxers when Hanes gives you 5.
Kenneth Cole is also over-priced and duck feet shoes with beta fuccked man made soles.
Say what you will about Kenneth Cole, I'm still wearing their boots I bought almost 3 years ago. They were the $200 MSRP ones that I got for $50-75. (No, I don't wear worn out shoes.)
