Well, seeing as I'm out a gym partner and would like a little motivation, I'm going to give one of these journals a shot!

About me:
Age: 18
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 175lbs
BF%: Don't know for sure, under 15% as a guess.

Routine:
Using the 3 day 5x5 routine done by Iron Addict, found here:

Diet:
My diet is pretty dynamic as of now, and would maybe like to make it more consistant. That being said I only eat natural foods (ie. nothing processed), meaning lots of eggs, meat, milk, veggies/fruit. I attempt to eat every 3 hours.

Cardio:
I don't have many goals for my cardio, except to keep fat levels down and improve my endurance. I normally use my eliptical as it starts to get cold in the winter up here, but once and a while I go to the treadmill at the gym. To be done inbetween workout days.

Thursday Sept. 10 '09

Basically a warmup day into the routine. I went to find out my 5RM max's. They were disappointing. Summer blows.

Bench: 140x5
Squat: 140x5
Deadlift: 185x5

I lost about 20 pounds over the summer and I'm guessing my strength went with it. I want to see these go much higher this winter, especially my squat 2 bench ratio.

Chins:9 reps(BW)
5 reps
4 reps

Tricep PD:3x8@80lbs

Lateral raise:5x10@12lbs

Can't remember what I ate, will try to be more precise about this later.

Didn't do cardio and didn't eat well/enough. I have distractions in life, and hopefully reflecting on this by writing it down will help me :D.

TODAY

Going to the gym shortly. Already had a shake this morning, gonna eat up first then head out.

Deadlift:5x130

Ab work and Calf work.

Had to use the smith machine for squatting today which was really annoying. This stuff is pretty standard and is easy right now due to the sub maximal work. I think it will become more interesting and challenging when I'm pushing past my max and setting PR's as much as possible.

I ate pretty well today and tried to eat lots :D.

My shake normally consists of: milk, banana, oats and whey.

Probably gonna have another shake and some tuna or something later on. I have late days and stay up until after midnight normally, so it's still early for me.

I notice how uninteresting my journal is, and is going to be, but I guess it's really for me and not for entertainment :D.

veggies...and JUNK.

:\ Having company over makes me do bad things! But that's no excuse.

Rows:5x5@70lbs

Now it's not described what kind of rows I should be doing, so I just did them on a t-bar machine. I'm assuming the actual bar of the machine weighs nothing when I say 70lbs.

Ate:
Shake
Beef/veggies
Shake
Pasta/eggs
Tuna/veggies

I'm liking keeping my diet a little more consistent like this. The shakes may end up costly, but everything else is pretty cheap. Feeling confident that once I'm done doing sub-maximal work I can break through all of my max's.:woo:

I'm going to avoid posting all the food I eat every day, and rather point out the bad things I ate instead. Today was strict, shakes and raw foods.

Continuing to work on my bench form, seems to be improving. Might raise up the weight on the PD's depending on how I feel with more bench weight.
