LOL. what is the purpose of a neg? To remove a bytch shield right? So why are you negging girls who don't have one? Using the wrong tool for the wrong job. Negging does work, your just doing it wrong.

right -- that's ostensibly the purpose of a neg, but aren't negs also just a category of c&f that can be used to drive the conversation in a flirty direction?

I've never negged so hard to the point of getting slapped, and usually girls will respond with something along the lines of "you're mean" *laughs* -- but the thing is they will ACTUALLY think i'm mean, and this carries through in all our future interactions.

neggin doesn't work where you live (China) because the chicks are more humble and traditional. Neggin isn't necessary over there. Here in America where the chicks are spoiled and feel they deserve the world we have to bring them down to earth with a neg or 2.

Wow.. I think a lot of people are getting negging and teasing(C&F) mixed up a bit.

A neg has to be really subtle, and rather than standing there with a big cheesy grin on your face you need to actually show that you are slightly less interested in her as a person as a result of what you said in your neg, and she has to try to get you back and more importantly starts to see you as an equal if not a better. It almost cannot even come off as an insult, really subtle 'secondary female' communication. The classic example is Mystery's finger nails.

-Wow, I really like your nails! Are they real?
-No, they're fake
-Oh... Well, they're still kinda nice I guess.

Personally, I am not a fan. If shes a ***** I'd rather go and talk to someone more open. C&F is a lot more fun and gets a lot better results, and if you exagerate it and its really obvious you're messing around and having fun teasing her, you can get away with saying almost anything and still getting a laugh and it doesn't matter how their self confidence is. It is really playful and fun, like teasing your little sister or something. Again, nothing too blunt, more situational witty stuff. It is one of the key parts of my personality.

Most of you are missing the concept of 'negs.' A neg is nothing more than a statement to show her that you wont kiss her ass, and her looks arent everything. Also, to confuse your intentions with her. This can mean insulting yourself, so she doesnt think you're trying to prove anything with her.

Negs are never meant to be insults. That is called being a jerk, which can work sometimes, but is not to be confused with negs.

All in all a neg is the opposite of what a chode wuold say. A chode would say; "those are really beautiful sunglasses." A DJ would neg her with, "You might be able to date hotter guys if you would show your eyes more often." Not quite an insult, but her value just dropped.

Definitely something stupid to not do again. It would be possible to make a comment like that in a C&F way, but if she is sitting behind you on a bike... How the hell are you meant to show any body language or facial expressions? Also in general weight is one not to target too much because girls will take it too seriously even if weight is no problem for them. And for some reason I have found asian girls to be extra sensitive to it even though they are usually skinnier than caucasians.

Now assuming you are looking at her and can show C&F body language;

me: hmmm might just be me, but I think your left side is slightly larger than your right side

Well. A bit of negging/studied & humorous disintrest worked pretty well for me last night.

Indeed, a quiet couple of drinks with a woman who didn't feel much like going out, turned into a mad all-nighter & I'm posting this from the couch whilst she is dancing around, singing me songs & we are off out again in an hour or so.
