So i used to use this KUZA coconut oil product on my hair along with gel that was sold at this black beauty shop...but it seems as if the manufacture has discontinued the coconut oil. Ive tried other coconut oil brands...but none of them work as well as the old one.

the thing is that my hair is really dry and thick(its like an afro shape...and when i used to put the coconut oil it would be shiny and curly...i guess u can say greasy) So ive been trying other things and have had no luck so far

Ive tried:

gel alone-didnt work because it made my hair very frizzy and messy

pomade-didnt work, the curls were messy rather than neat

i bough got2b glue and im going to try wax next...anyone have any tips?!

here's a pic of how my hair looks with the coconut oil...

and here's a pic of how it looks dry:

Wow, welcome to my world. I've been Googling thick hair for months now. From what I've learned.

- Don't Shampoo everyday. Every other day, every other other day. There's even some that suggest just using conditioner.

- Don't blow dry

- rubbing your scalp (not hair) in circles stimulates oils... what we people with thick hair lack

That's about all I learned.

I've used L'Oreal Mega Glue (Extreme Sculpting & Quick Drying). I've used Regis Whipped Wax, I've used Regis Shine Pomade. I've used LA Looks Cur Life & some weak gel. I've used Garnier Wet look gel. Nothing works.

I try to spike my thick, wavy hair. Not blow out like you, but spike straight up--trust me, doesn't work.

Update me on got2b glue and the wax, though. Hopefully something will work for you, and I could use it too. :p

If you actually want to thicken your hair, use a dandruff shampoo called "Nizoral" 2-3 times per week.

It actually increases the diameter of the hairs.

Do a Google search for more info.
