Well the past about 6-8 months I;ve been on a mission to lose weight. I went from a 6'3 268 lb fat*** to a lighter 6'3 205. So I lost around 60 LBS which is great, but now I have just a pouch around my mid section. I mean it is like a friggin jelly blanket around my whole mid from abs to obliques section thats just nasty. I want to get rid of it and just changed my work out routine from more of a body building routine working out different muscles different days (ex. chest, triceps MON, shoulders TUE, etc) 5 times a week with 30 min cardio to a full body routine working everything out from upper body to legs 3 times a week with 45-1 hr of cardio. On my none weight lifting days (tues, thurs, sat) I do 1-1.5 hours of cardio whether running, HIIT, basketball, or a combo of them. I've kind of reached a plateau the last month, but i think part of that is my diet, im trying to cut out carbs and prevent eating late at night and I have been doing this new routine for 2 weeks. But what do you guys think, do you have any suggestions on how I can get rid of this jelly substance around my mid section because my whole body looks ok other than that and i don;t feel comfortable without a shirt on because of it. I get attention and looks now, and look good in clothes, but I;m getting frustrated with this belly that won;t go away. Any advise or critiques are appreciated!

What is your bf%? am not sure what you were reffer to your mid section. Are they loose skin or too much fat? but based on what you said, they could be both fat and loose skin. In either case, I would not suggest you go on building muscle just yet. This is VERY IMPORTANT! you need to know your bf% so get that measure. You want to get your bf% to about 10% then start massing. When you mass, don't do any cardio.

This is my routine that I use to loose 15 pound of fat within 12 weeks and lower my bf% to 8.70%

Cardio 45 min every other day at 80% max heart rate. I take hydrocut before I do my cardio.

I workout 3 day's a week but NOT to build muscle. I use lightweight and high reps to maintain my lean body mass. For a newbie, you usually gain some muscle anyway. You can use your lifting routine but make sure its lightweight and high reps.

For diet. Just time your Lean body mass x 18 or 20 to get the calories you need.

I was able to loose 15 pound of fat and gain 7 pound of LBM in 12 weeks this way.
